Not quite. You have to run the wire under the truck, up the engine compartment, through the firewall and splice 2 wires into your rocker panel. But it's fairly straightforward.

Awesome!! Post some pics of your switch install and camera or anything else that is unique. Also interested in any feedback you guys have on the usefulness of the instructions or any issues with the install process.

Ran through a rainstorm and hail this morning.. Couldn't see more than 10 ft in front.. Funny thing is I could see better through the cam than I could through my windshield.

It's a pretty decent cam for the price. Glad you are happy with the FRAC harness!

Thanks again @Scpringle. Well good news, @CM-LENNY, scpringle has a non-nav system and reports that the FRAC harness works perfectly!.

OK Guys, The first draft of the FRACv2 design is complete. I will start the prototype build this weekend. Still need to make final determination on a few parts, but making progress.

@TundraTex I bet you this will work on a Tacoma. You can make even more moneys!!!!! Don't forget the sequoia's too. Not sure if they have the same radio as ours.

Can't wait to see your v2 design. I'm sure it will be much better and smaller package.

Shhhhhhhh @BlueBottle, don't tell anybody, but this design will work, as is, on a large part of the Toyota inventory. In fact, I'll be testing the FRACv2 on the wife's 4-Runner.

IMG_2144.jpg@TundraTex The FRAC works fantastic! The ability to watch your trailer in towing is indispensable. Hit some bumps and noticed the front orange straps seen here had come loose. pulled over tightened it down on the road again

I am considering swapping out my non-JBL head unit with the JBL unit that has a backup camera plug in. I am also going to do the FRAC modification. Does anyone know if the connectors for the speakers on the back of the non-JBL and the JBL units are the same? Will it have any impact on the FRAC wiring if I change head units? Thank you for any help you can offer!

Can't answer the question about JBL speaker connections, but from what I've seen and heard in a friend's 1794 with JBL HU there's really not much difference in the sound - even with the factory Sub-woofer. Check out my thread on upgrading the sound without changing my non-JBL HU. I spent my money on better amp and speakers rather than a JBL HU.

As for FRACv2, it will work with JBL or non JBL, Nav, or Non-Nav. It doesn't matter which HU you have as long as it is a 3rd Gen Factory unit and 3rd Gen wiring.

EDIT: @Riskyguy I just realized from your signature block that you have a 2008 SR5. The FRACv2 mod will currently only work with 3rd Gen (2014 - 2017) Tundras with factory Head Units. The connectors used for the FRAC mod are different than those used for the audio connectors.

I plan to eventually design a FRAC interface for the 2nd Gen Tundras, but that has not been accomplished yet.

You are one gifted human being! I've been reading about your mods all day. I am very impressed! Does your FRACv2 void any warranties? If it doesn't I would love to sign up for it if that's possible.
