OK, these two have been assigned to destroy the backseat of my new 2022 Crewmax hybrid. Has anyone tried after market solutions for protecting the backseat area, like seat covers or liners? I’m not terribly worried about the seats because they are leather and will wipe clean. Weatherguard mats should protect the floors. What about the doors? Is there anything that will cover the interior of the doors?9ED9B48E-888C-4594-BB48-9C5E3373CE66.jpg

Those 2 are some good looking dogs. This is just a suggestion so do not take this the wrong way, but if you are going to be hauling them around alot, you could set something up in your bed if you have a topper, just open the windows in the topper and have a bed of some sort on a cool day.

They make hammock style seat covers that have zippered sides by the doors and just buckle around all the seat headrests. Used one in my Tacoma for a few years now and works great with our dog. Here’s an example on Amazon:

iBuddy Dog Seat Cover for Trucks with Mesh Window 100% Waterproof Dog Hammock for Truck Back Seat Machine Washable X-Large Dog Seat Cover with Side Flaps for Trucks Against Dirt and Fur for Large SUV https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FXLZ9NH

That mastiff (if that’s what the big one with the red collar is) has that innocent look on his face like “I’m not about to chew something up or slobber all over the place you can look away”. I have been wanting to get a mastiff for years but the excess slobbering is the killer for me. Still have some OCD issues left in me….

I would take off their collars. My lab scratched up the door hanging his head out the window. I taped over the door speaker in my 2014 because of the dog slobber waterfall. Can't say anything...he thinks it's his truck.

Momma absolutely forbids letting the dogs ride in the bed of the truck. She does allow our boys to ride in the bed though. I think the reasoning is that the boys have the common sense to not jump out, whereas the dogs do not. As dad, I think she’s giving the boys too much credit.

It is a mastiff - a mastiff PUPPY. He’s 8 months old and 117 pounds. He’ll probably top out around 160 lbs. Awesome, fantastic dogs but definitely not for the first time dog owner. A dog that big and powerful needs to be well trained and well socialized. They do kind of slobber, mostly while eating though. I just pick up a clean rag when I feed him, and he comes over to get his face wiped after he eats because he likes the attention and being told he’s a good boy. I might seem like I know what I’m doing, but actually my wife is the dog expert and I’m simply implementing what she’s taught me. This mastiff is a Cane Corso and our second one. The most unbelievable guard dog you’ll ever have, and we’ve had them all.

You know, I don’t know. That photo was at a dog park, and I’m not much of a car guy so I didn’t pay it any attention. It could be a Rolls Royce and I wouldn’t notice unless it had a turbo diesel and tow mirrors.

It works real good. Mine is a 2021 so not the same gen but I like how it's working out. Back seat area still looks new.
