I ordered a crew max trd offroad 6.5ft with 14" screen in Supersonic Red in April. My dealer got an allocation with similar specs in July so I went with it. Tracked it all the way to destination. It then went to a 30 day QC hold, a few days later to a 49 day hold and said no eta. I have waited this long for it that I just assume they get it right with the quality they are known for. I have to say I have considered getting another brand due to quality issues with the Tundra, but decided to stick it out and trust that Toyota will get it right. I have owned only Toyota and Lexus vehicles for the last 20 years and so far I am not impressed with their recent qc. I hope you all get your truck soon, personally I am going to check it out thoroughly before it leaves the lot so any parts can be ordered ahead of time.

I know it’s easy for me to say now but I was like you actually it took 3 months to get mine in and it was stuck at the rail yard for a month! I was passed up by trucks that were built in July when my build date was in early June!

I can honestly say that these Tundras Rock! This is my 4th Tundra I’ve had a new Tundra since 2000,2008,2017 and 2022 which is by far the best one in my opinion.

I know it’s tempting to look elsewhere but I would wait for your Tundra.

Did you purchase from Koons or was that the tracking mistake? I ask as I live pretty close to one of Koons dealerships and from what I've seen, they are marking up these trucks about as high as I have seen anywhere. While shopping around, I spoke with two sales persons as two different Koons dealerships, and a sales manager and none of them would budge even a dime on their markup.

If you did indeed buy from them, was this your experience as well? Or were you successful at talking them down a bit from their gouged pricing policy?

They had a Capstone that they recently contacted me about and said it would be roughly $97,000 after their markup. This was AFTER I told them I was no longer interested in hearing about their offers.

Thanks for providing these links, Bobby. Both aren't showing any recalls on my truck, but it hasn't been refreshed since last Saturday (9/17). My dealership called TODAY to tell me about the QC hold at the railyard (Orillia, WA). So there you have it, I suppose the truck is caught in the mix.
