My front driver side door panel rattles when the bass hits from the speakers. (No im not blasting music. Just normal people volume levels.)

It does stop if I put my knee against it though.

I think every tundra I have had does this lol. It’s because Toyota insists on putting too much bass through the front speakers instead of to the sub where it belongs

My 2015 wasn't like this but then again I didn't have premium audio back then to fairly compare.

If this is normal then ok ill deal with it lol.

You guys talk about rattles, how about squeaks??

My wipers have a high pitched squeak when they wipe the windshield [odd].

My truck bed also squeaks when I go over some rougher road sections [all the time basically in my sitting :)], only benefit is that I only hear them when the back window is open.

I have pin pointed mine to the rear view mirror or potentially even in the headliner around the sunglasses holder. Any thoughts on that? It almost sounds like something is laying loose on the headliner and makes some racket whenever I go over bumps at relatively low speeds. Pretty annoying TBH.

So for the truck bed creaking and rattle my dealership was able to source it down the the (4) bed bolts. They weren't loose per say, but they weren't lubricated properly either. So re-lubricating and properly seating the bolts instantly made the noise go away.

Both from doors have rattling issue after about 30mph, with driver's seeming more prominent (probably because my head is next to it)... Current fix is stuffing a triple folded napkin between the door and the seal if I'm going to be driving more than 30 minutes or so... Almost seems like the door jam seal doesn't make enough contact with the door to actually seal...

Its your tailgate lanyards. Open your tailgate and then hold it up to put slack in the cable. You will see and hear that the ends are not fitted tight enough on the pins. I figured this out over the weekend. Every time i would close a door the tail gate you rattle. So i made some UHMW washer /spacers to fill the gap and the rattle was gone.

This is the area mine is coming from. Anyone know how easy this would be to remove so I can see what’s going on up there? Sounds like something is loose just above it, basically in the headliner.

Talking to my dealer about the tailgate rattle. It looks to me to be the play in the passenger side bushing(?) between the hinge on the truck itself and the tailgate. I think i can simulate the noise with the tailgate closed, placing my hands beneath the lower edge of the tailgate and lifting up. Will keep the group posted!

thats exactly how I showed them my issue with the tailgate closed and they had another tundra in the show room with no play in the hinges, they immediately said oh yes there’s an issue with yours.

This is also what I did at my dealership.
They said it was normal and they should me the same movement on 2 other tundras that were there at the shop.

I still think it’s unusually loud, no other truck I’ve had sounded like this.

Not sure if this will help anyone else but I removed the map light console and discovered the source of my rattle. There is a spare wiring harness up there that had come loose from its holder. It was hitting the roof of the truck making a bunch of racket. The gray one in the pic.

Good to know. That's the harness for the OEM Toyota dashcam if I'm not mistaken.

yeah, it sounds like a bad batch of parts. Mine is a late-July build, we have another in the fleet that was a late-June build and has the same issue.

AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
I had the bad rattle and it turns out it was the sunglasses in the holder. It sounded horrible and it was the friggen sunglasses. I forgot I put them in there.
Now I put them in the console.

I've been putting my glasses in the sleeve/bag that comes with them, in the glasses holder for this reason. I think Toyota could have fully rubberized the interior of the glasses holder like the 2.5 gen used to be.

I have this same rattle on my drivers side. It is absolutely infuriating. The dealer replaces the gasket, but it hasn’t fixed the issue. I plan to bring it up yet again at 5k service but I’m not hopeful it gets fixed. So frustrating.

I have what sounds like a loose heat shield I can hear when I’m in a drive thru or tunnel.

My whole truck rattles inside. Doors, window seals, console. I’m to the point where I want to love the truck but the cheap interior and overall quality is making me 2nd-guess my purchase.

I absolutely love the tech, engine/trans combo and the overall styling, but I’m kinda tired of driving a 60k truck and being upset at the annoying rattles every time I’m in it.

I’m on the fence of keeping it or going back to a Tacoma. Hate to say it since I had a beautiful, paid off 2017…

    edited for spelling.

Hate to say it, but I agree. The material choices in the cabin combined with the sideview mirror(s) and weatherstripping creating an additional whistling noise at freeway speeds are beginning to spoil the car. That's to say nothing of the bed rattling with the rear window down over any surface that isn't glass smooth. The car rattles perpetually and whistles on the freeway (driver side). It's just not going to end up being a suitable experience for me to put up with day to day, particularly in a brand new truck. Truly wanted to love the truck. Have been through it with rubber and felt tape and all sorts trying to remedy these situations, but have had limited success at best.

I get a rattle when my rear window is down. I don't think it's coming from the bed or anything like that. I think it has something to do with the actual window when it is down inside the truck. Like it just sits loose in there and is able to rattle around in its track or something. When it's up there is zero rattle.

I was wondering if my rear tire might be loose just a smidge. Big shock bumps like potholes cause a clunk, but normal lighter rough terrain bumps not so much.

My 1794 with air suspension had some awful clunks when going over minor bumps. Once I adjusted the the adjustment levers under the truck so that the rear end sits at 38 inches from ground to wheel well the truck is super quiet and no awful clunking noise when going over small or big bumps. Now the truck is super quiet and fun to drive.
