    Today I got that sinking feeling in my stomach when I was looking at the bed of my truck. I hoped to put a Bak-Flip or some other cover on it. Now I am very concerned that, due to the bow, I won't be able to install one.

    The PO had a camper that he used quite a bit. I wonder if, some how, he thew out the anchor causing the camper to push the front of the bed into the cab.

    After looking at two buddies Tundras at work it appears to be pushed forward at least an inch.

    Check out the picture and tell me what you think?

    Agree, as is I wouldn't attempt to do it. I wonder how easily it would be to bring the top rail back to the proper place therefore allowing the installation of a cover. Even if the lower part of the bed is still pushed forward I would be OK with that.

    TRD Pro grill, Magna Flow Exhaust, 3/2 leveling kit, TRD sway bar, black out emblems, Bakflip G2 cover, 20” ProComp wheels and Tires and lots of love and affection.

    I'm pretty sure a body shop can straighten that out for you. It's amazing what they can do.

    Body shop can fix that with ease.

    Slide in Campers or ATV/MX bikes raise hell on truck beds. I started putting 4x4 blocks in the front of the bed to help with this ( I carried all three).

    I would replace the panel....that back panel is not going to straighten out even enough to install your rails for the Bakflip to be installed correctly....Bed needs removed and new panel welded on....A little spendy !! :oops:

    I was thinking of using a piece of angle iron the length of the bow and then pulling it back into place. I hoped to get it close enough to successfully install a cover....

    I guess it can't hurt to try.

    If it were me and I planned on keeping the truck, I would spend the money and get it fixed by a professional body shop and done right. Get a couple quotes and see what it will cost...Old school here..I just think if it's worth fixing/doing, it's worth doing right.

    If I attempted the tree and a come along "fix" it would probably look just like I did the repair myself with a tree and a come along.. :rofl:no no...not happening.

    Just kidding, I would pay out the money to have it done right.

    @coosbaybaker , is there something you can do to help prevent this in the future from your end (professional body man)? Some bracing of some sort maybe? Like I stated earlier in the thread, I would use a 4x4 block of wood the width of the bed and that worked out great.

    Before paying to fix it, I'd at least take a whack at it. Would try come along first. If that doesn't work, I'd remove the bed and hit it with a BFRM. (Rubber mallet)

    Not really...i mean if you really wanted to go as far as drilling holes and bolt a half inch steele plate in front of the back panel.....but then your just loosing more space

    I use the shit out of my trucks, but doing what I did with the 4x4 worked pretty good. After my 99 Tacoma bed and tailgate were so messed up from ATVs and MX bikes, I had to do something different. The bed touching the cab was no Bueno

    Pisses me off that the auto manufactures make the sheet metal so DAMN THIN these days !!!!....replace panels these days in the collision industry....we use to be able to REPAIR body panels back in the day...todays sheet metal is paper thin.....ALL TO LIGHTEN the vehicles for better MPG'S.....The tailgates on our Tundras ARE WEAK !!!.....ITS A TRUCK !!!!! TOYOTA NEEDS TO BEEF UP THIS SHIT !!!!...

    Anytime BRUTHA !!!...Started a new job 3 weeks ago managing a larger shop...more pay....more work !!!...lol...cleaning up the mess the previous manager there who left behind ...so havent had much xtra time for ANYTHING...

    Bilstein 6112/5160 trd sway bar and ride rite bags. Black and burnt orange wet okole seat covers.
    I was thinking about that to. If the panel isn't kinked and the spot welds aren't pulled loose, with some finese and the right positioning of the pull. Maybe pull from multiple spots, you could get close to straight. And if it doesn't work you can always get a new panel put on.
