WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR 3RD GEN TUNDRA TODAY?

in reference to the bed drains , they wanted me to turn them to the inner two drain hols but that looked problematic and the path was long. I drilled out the corner holes a little bigger than needed so the hose fit loosely and water could still drain from the bed and cover.

 

Just got some tint done on the tundra.

Llumar irx ceramic tint
15% front
35% rear
Air 80 on the windshield

 

Had to throw this pic in. Camping and riding in Buena Vista, CO. Had to put in in 4wd to get the camper in the perfect spot. Did the pro grille and light bar last week.

Just picked up my 22 Tundra SR5 CM TRDOR in Lunar Rock last Friday. Put a deposit down in February and it's been a long 7 months but definitely worth the wait. I love this truck!!! Modifications so far are:

• NFAB Epyx side steps
• Matte black TUNDRA on tail gate
• Gloss black TOYOTA and TRD on grill
• Mountain Goat tag (Christmas Present from the kiddos)

 

That's around 12k feet, off cottonwood pass. I love this area!

2 questions for ya:

1–you listed “Burger 4p Tuner”, did you mean JB4 tune from Burger? That’s what I have and didn’t know they had a different tune.
2–I also have the BOV’s from Burger but hadn’t installed them yet. How often and loud is the “sound” you get (24/7 even at low 5mph speeds, etc)?

1-Typo JB4 you are correct
2-Pretty much every time you let off the gas. The more aggressive the louder. If it's not to aggressive you really don't notice.

 

I figured as much on the typo but just in case they came out with a new stronger tune I had to know!! I have a heavy foot so guessing I will be hearing the woosh a lot when I install the BOV’s….thanks for answering my man.

 

I took the odometer from 4 to 47. Only 953 miles to go before break in is DONE!

Blacked out my front emblem with plasti-dip today. I think it turned out great.

I really wanted the Lunar Rock color but didn’t have the patience to wait and every time I see one I am a little jealous. Btw, you will love the pedal commander and jb4 combo!! Before I added the lift and larger tires, I had it always set at Sport+ #2 and map5 and she felt like a different truck. After the lift had to move the settings to Sport+ #4 and left at map5. That jb4 wakes the truck up and you will notice the extra hp!! Obviously not a TRX killer by any means, but I am still surprised on the quickness of these 2022 Tundras. Enjoy and thanks for reminding me of my impatience…..

 

Weather tech mats - dun. The fit is decent: front spot on. I think the rear is a hair large but should settle in with a few hot days.

 

I picked up the weather techs for mine, fits decent, waiting for Husky to start making sets for the 22s, they normally have a better fit.

 

I have Huskys in my 2014 and agree the fit is probably better.

 

Matte black tailgate insert letters installed today.

Someone else already asked me about the specific times for the 0-60 and quarter mile for mine in another thread, but I got to keep you younger guys in the dark about some stuff!! Blahahahahahahahaha….in all honesty it dropped almost a full second for both, but that’s before the huge lift and tires. I just did that recently and haven’t tested it again since, but I know a 6” lift and 37” tires aren’t conducive for going faster…..guess I went a little backwards with those additions. Trust me it’s the best $450 I spent on her so far!! You will feel the difference with the jb4. However, I will 100% be a buyer of the first legit/good upgraded dual turbo kits. Hopefully one of the good manufactures will be like me and want to know how much power can we actually add onto these 2022’s before blowing the block/trans/rear end. If anyone of you manufacturers/shops/etc are out there reading this forum and this post hit me up I will loan my truck out to you for testing and will sign whatever legal docs needed to waive liability. Mo power>worries about something breaking. Whatever gets broke can always get fixed even better right?

why would I need to lie on an anonymous forum? If so I could say yea my baby runs 5 second 0-60. Nope. Pics attached of the dragy device app and jb4 app below. So I have them why couldn’t I get the times? I have ran it many times before the lift and larger tires. You want my yearly salary and SSN too?
