It adds up quickly!!! I just want a couple of mods for mine. Bigger tires, a lift, a nice exhaust and maybe some additional light when go hunting

Dang, what would be the expensive stuff?

Supercharger got me good. Other big ones are a regear, Long Travel suspension and subsequent wide body panels, headers and full exhaust, overlanding gear and equipment. All kinda stuff out there to destroy your wallet! All depends what you get into.

I will copy and paste my answer to this from a similar thread in 2021..

“Everything I’ve added or modded is necessary to adding additional safety features to the vehicle for our family’s and the general public’s safety and well being”

    ^^is what my wife thinks..

..so I have added “zero” money to mytruck..just made it safer ;)

I wonder if I can remember exact costs now.

    Line-X Spray in bed liner - $550
    Leer Legend Canopy - $2200
Winter tires on steel wheels - $2800?
    OEM RSB - $500?
    Boost Auto mirrors - ~$1200

So total over about $7000 but I think I'm done unless the wife decides we need running boards. Everything else I would want to do is cosmetic and thus not worth it to me.

I'm at about 10k currently and still want a camper shell so add that and a few little odds an ends and I'll be close to 15k probably.

About $90 for the seat jackers, worth it! (Surprise gift from the wife...she's kinda awesome)

Now if talking wish list that I constantly flirt with and don't pull trigger for costs of 3 kids in college and other general life stuff...that's a much bigger number!

Meh - I see it the other way. I paid just over $45k for my truck - assuming I go full tilt and put $35k into it - I’ll have a fully built blown V8 with suspension, gears, stereo etc for $5k more than a new Pro.

And my truck as it sits beat the new Pro racing around the cinders at Tundras to Sedona last year.

Never saw a pro at 80K when I got my truck.

    Screenshot_20220918-104836_Google.jpg

I paid $41,XXX and I'm (quick ball park math) $14,800 is in mods. That's $55,800 with Pros selling at MSRP in 2019 which would have left $4-$5K for my roof rack and tent. I'd also have better value retention.
