Any one who ordered Hybrid model in April got a word from dealer?

I was told the waiting period is around 1 year when I ordered my trd pro.

It’s been 5 months but I haven’t heard a word from my dealer.

 

Don’t you have 7 months left if you’ve been waiting for 5? For what it’s worth, I ordered my Limited hybrid in January and I’m picking it up tomorrow…

 

Ordering is not really feasible at this point. You just have take what they get allocation for that is close to what you want or wait forever

 

Put a deposit on my limited hybrid end of April got one allocated end of may and build mid June and delivered July 7.

At my dealer the waiting time for a pro was 6-7 months, no waiting time for other trims on hybrid but have to take whatever the dealer gets allocated.

 

congra and envy.. so your entire waiting time is 9 months, right?

 

there's a trd pro delivered in my dealership last month, out from all the waiting list, aka a random allocation.

but that's a grey exterior plus some useless accessories to me, so i refused it when my sales called me if i'm interested in

 

in canada, that's bit different...

either you jump the line by taking the over-loaded allocation

or wait in line

 

may I know when you started to hear some news about your truck after putting the deposit?

As others have said, I didn’t “order” it per se, I just gave them a deposit the first week of January and waited in line for one that matched my requirements. My absolute requirements were: Lunar Rock or Army Green, Crewmax, 6.5 ft bed, TRD OR. It took until June 3rd to get one allocated that checked all of those, and it turned out to be a Limited hybrid. It was delivered to the dealer last weekend.

To answer your question, I think dealers get notified of their allocations twice a month. My salesman texted me twice a month after each allocation to let me know they didn’t have anything until early June. Then he sent me the build list and asked if I wanted that one, I said yes. He texted me on July 7th to let me know it showed up as F status, and then a few updates here and there until it showed up.

I didn’t think I ever went more than two weeks all 9 months without hearing something from him, even if it was just “no news”.

 

Put myself on the waitlist/whatever for TRD Pro in mid-July, was told eight to 15 months. Lucked out with an allocation within a week. Never heard from dealer though after placing my deposit, even though they said, we will be in touch weekly. Emailed salesman, sales manager, fleet manager, and left a few voice mails as well as I had some questions and wanted to add some PIO's, but had to work to track anyone down; sucks when you're trying to spend even more money.

Only saving grace is that the truck has been built and is on the rail system. Just wish the person taking commission would have tracked down this info for me, instead of me working for it.

 

so besides the overloaded accessories, did you pay top off for your truck?

 

I put a deposit down on my hybrid in December. Got my truck 3 weeks ago. I think it's going to be different wait times for different dealers. They called me on a couple other hybrids before the one I took. If I remember correctly, I don't think the factory started producing hybrids until June. Best indicator I found was asking my rep where I was in line throughout the wait.
