@Bonzen have all of the 4.7 mounts been shipped?

 

I think not. A few of us ordered late.

 

Still building and shipping 4.7 kits. Unfortunately I'm not able to knock the GB parts out in one full swoop, because as those were trickling in, so were website orders and orders thru Instagram, so I'm going down the line as quickly as I can to be fair to everyone.

 

@solid_offroad did all the 5.7 GBs go out (red)?

 

If it helps, please put me at the back of the list, I have no way to get this done anytime soon (truck in SD, I'm 1000 miles away).

Mounts are shipping. There’s a run of 4.7 mounts that should be shipping this week, then back to 5.7 mounts.

I am #3 on the current 5.7 list... woohoo

 

I'm probably the only 4.7 in this group to have installed mine. It's pretty straight forward. I would do driver side first, and only do one side at a time. Jack, 2X4 under the oil pan. Cut that board to cover as much pan as possible and don't put it under the drain plug. There are times where I lifted or lowered the jack for lower bolt alignment (slightly). I recommend bolting first to the block. I hear the 5.7 is less room to work, but it can't be much more of a deal. Sweet mounts.

 

Bunch of stuff shipping Tuesday. (Monday is a federal holiday)

 

Few kits in RED currently drying, will ship Monday, and welding up another kit right now. Working thru the weekend

 

3 kits shipping today. That makes a total of I think 15 so far, I think i still have close to 10 to go.

 

Any specific paint used?

 

Can we assume your working in list order for completion ?

 

For the most part, only deviating slightly if I'm painting red kits because the paint takes 48 hours to dry so I'm trying to do a couple of those at a time and then build the other colors while those are drying. But yes sticking to the order sequence as best as I can.

 

I use Rustoleum outdoor metal primer & paint. Stuff holds up well, been using it for 2 decades.

I stopped powdercoating these parts years ago, the cost that I had to pass onto the customer was too much for a very minimal gain, the lead times were always at least a week longer, and since they are small parts, the powdercoaters lost the kits pieces a few times and well that was enough lol.

 

Further reasoning as too why Kobalt Blue is the best choice...
