04 vs 05 rear end?

    Hi all. I tried searching here and Google but couldn't find an answer.

    Can the rear end (complete axle assembly) from a 2005-2006 Tundra be easily swapped onto a 2004? Both are 4WD 3.91 ABS non-locking. Unfortunately, my rear has rotted out and is leaking at the 3rd-member to diff housing junction, so is not fixable.

    Yes, if rc/ac to rc/ac or dc to dc.

    You may or may not have to swap the pinion flange.
