Nice 295 70 18? I wonder if anyone went with the 35s for Falken for 18s

Wildpeaks are fantastic tires...but with that said, I'm not sure I'll buy them again unless the price comes down. I bought a set of these in 2019 for my '13 F150 (just before I got the Tundra) for $750 installed.

Now? The BEST deal I've found for the same tire is around $1300 or so installed. There are cheaper quality tires out there.

I haven’t seen anyone run the Wildpeaks in 35x12.5R18 on their Tundra. Falken only makes that size in F load (12 ply) which is not only heavy but very stiff and overkill for a Tundra. Heck, E load is overkill but if you run a lower pressure you can get away with it and not have it feel so stiff. I run about 40 pounds in my Wildpeak 295’s (E load). That seems to be the sweet spot.

Did you do the chalk test to see if that was the best setting at 40psi? I’m currently on 35psi I was thinking of doing a chalk test to see if that is the ideal tire pressure. Haven’t gotten the chance to do it yet.

    Agreed.

I opted to cheap out on my initial purchase and not get a full sized spare. FF a year, prices skyrocketed. I still got it, but it hurt a bit. Luckily my wheel price came down and it kind of balanced out. This was a few months ago, I think they have gone up more even since then.

Love the tires though. They look, ride and handle great in all weather up here in Canada.

No, I haven’t done the chalk test. Wouldn’t be a bad idea though.

    Yep, 295/70 18 which is 34.3 x 11.9.

I suspect the 35 would rub

Here’s mine with 295x70r18. I have Westcott lift on the front and +2 CB shackles on the rear.

Have the Wildpeaks on for 56K now and still have another 25k left at a minimum. Great tire, very little road noise and excellent in the northeast snow

I was almost dead set on another set of Nitto ridge grapplers or trying the Coopers, but I had completely missed the Falkens. DT reviews and these reviews paint a really compelling argument to give them a shot.

I don't deal with snow, but plenty of rain, some mud, but a fair bit of soft/slick ground and thick grass. Guaranteeing 50k miles (I regularly rotate around 5k, and monitor pressure fairly regularly) makes these feel like a no brainer.

I have Wildpeak ATW3's (35s) on my Tundra now (14k) and have had them on my last two Tacoma's (33s). Ran them forever and traded in the trucks with the Wildpeaks on both with plenty of miles still left on them. Outside of the OEM tires, the Wildpeak's are all I've used on my Toyotas, never even had a flat with them either, knock on wood. :woot:
Granted, I have never tried another brand/type of tires but as the saying goes, "If it's not broke, don't fix it."

Has anyone seen the Wildpeak R/T hit the shelves, yet? I'm holding out hope mine will last until they're available. Shouldn't be an issue.

Adding Westcott/CB+3 in two weeks and I'm looking at a couple months before new tires will be needed. It'll either be the ATW3 in 295/70 or the R/T if they're priced right.

Between my current and previous Tundra I've had 2 sets of KO2s and two sets of Nittos without much issue. All sets gave me 40-45k miles, but it was clear when it was time to change them. The 55k mile warranty is as compelling as the price different for the Falkens.
