Why: Options for additional tire sizes, the RPMs are still very reasonable, they're the same price, they are amazingly better when towing/crawling, and they are just overall awesome. I have them, I'm running them with 33.4" Falken Wildpeaks, and I couldn't be happier with all aspects of it. With 35's, I'm not sure where the question is. Do it once, don't look back.

I always answer yes to this, but my truck is tuned and has the speed governor removed. Based on other people's experiences the truck will limit itself to 95mph, however if that is removed the truck can physically go well beyond 100mph with 5.29s.

    4.88s are for 31” tires…

I’ve got 5.29s with 34” tires, and there is zero regret. RPM are a couple hundred higher at Oregon speeds, but that hasn’t negatively affected a single thing.

Another thread with a nice gear ration/RPM calculator so you can run your own numbers and see that we’re all right! Lol.

My opinion, I felt that the pinion on the 5:29’s was too small. I have 35’s and the 4:88’s feel stock to me. However, a lot of guys here love the 5:29’s and I have not heard one instance of fatigue or breakage even with hard wheeling. 4:88’s stock feel; 5:29’s more tugging in the shorts.

Mine governs out at 106 ish I think? But yeah we got long straight empty highways. So I do 90-120 a lot depending on what’s happening.

Are there any gears available between 4.88 and 5.29??? 5.13s???

Yea I don't understand the claims of topping at 95 since obviously it's not limited by the speedometer itself and must be referencing rpm or something to conclude the truck shouldn't go faster? Like I said, I've never had any issue going any speed but I had the ECU flashed before I regeared. I'm at 2650rpm at 85mph with 35s.

5.29s are definitely the way to go, you have massive amounts of torque, marginally higher rpm but the engine isnt working anywhere near as hard. 4.88s are pointless imo unless you're on stock tires (even then though). There is the argument of a smaller pinion with the deeper gears, but I and plenty of other supercharged guys have never had an issue. The 10.5 diff is beef.
