2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road 6-Speed Manual. Bro mods on top of bro mods, wheeled in SC, TN, MO, TX, and KS. Had fun with that truck, but did the home ownership mod and it had to go.

More than I wanted to pay, but scooped up these Husky X-Act liners via AmazonWarehouse. Description said used, my best assessment is they were probably just returned, look pretty new to me. Bout 80 bucks into this Gen 2.5 SR5. Rear set arrived a week later.

 

Not a bad deal for the floor mats.

Found some old cloth seats for pretty much nothing on the old local market place. Wasn’t aware the TRD Pro had regular cloth seats. Main reason for getting these was because the OEM gray gray set was pretty soiled, ran the green bissell extractor twice and still came up short. Diggin the black seats over the light gray.

 

Came out to about 150 for the front and rear sets, via the old Amazon warehouse deals. We dig em, wasn’t feelin’ the WeatherTechs we had on all our previous vehicles.

Gettin’ stupid already, frame is shitty and one of the motors is intermittent on the bench. Explains why is was so cheap. Foam and covers are still way better than my OE set, gonna just swap em over and call it good.

Picked up a load of OE shit for the Crewmax maybe. Spindles and suspension from a dude who did a bracket drop, and a bunch of other stuff.

Pulled the steering wheel for an upgrade. Downgrade for most, but a definite upgrade for me. Truck came with a horrible leather wrapped wheel that was ate the fuck up. Found an OE urethane Tundra wheel on here from @owb2gp which worked out awesome for me. I’m just sucka for old reliable man truck shit.

Tracked down some Dad steps for the truck. Wasn’t 20 buck bargain like @EatSleepTacos But was still able to do a dope deal for the steps along with some 2021 OE Bilstein rear shocks. 30 minute drive to swap a full colt magazine of Federal AE 55gr 5.56 sounds good to me. Who said the bartering system is dead

Antenna came in. “Assembled in the US with domestic and import parts”
Sounds like China to me, honestly was Diggin’ the antenna delete more, but hopefully we will get used to this one.

Tint today. Not up to speed on the latest and greatest in the world of tint, but got something something ceramic something on all the windows along with the front and rear windshields. Front windshield at a full face 35% everything else I just asked that they match, dude said it was along thelines of 20%. Diggin’ how it turned out.

DIR harness showed up today, thanks @daveeasa for the quick turnaround. About 45° outside, will have to square away the install at some point this weekend.

Nothing crazy. No cool expensive mall crawlin shit to post, but I did get it the Craven Speed Untenna in today. The essential antenna delete for me since XM and audio streaming from my phone is what works best for me in the middle of nowhere.

 

Picked up an 15 Limited for the wife. She’s all about that leather and shit.

 

Not much going on in the middle of nowhere Missouri. Trucks haven’t moved in a few days, finally got em warmed up so we can clear the driveway.

@Tundratoofun came in clutch with these black OEM handles for the wife’s truck.

 

Since we have two other Tundras, decided to get rid of the silver SR5 and pick up this cherry 100 series Land Cruiser.

 

Saw how much the retailer was asking for bumper end pieces. Bit on the high side for some plastic, for me at least. so I took the OEM stuff to get blasted and coated. Turned out great.



At $1007 a setfrom Sparks, No thanks I’ll leave that for the rich folks.

 

80 bucks for a used Amp Research Bed Extender. Put it on the wife’s truck To keep her gear from rolling all over the place. Killer find up in the St. Louis area when I had to head to the airport

 

Rear chrome delete. Got the bumper ended coated is a basic gloss black. Swapped em out today and looks great. Wife’s pretty stoked with the subtle difference.

 

Lost our 05 First Gen. It did it’s job keeping my kids alive and safe. Just sucks since my son was hit by someone who didn’t have insurance, and we only carried liability on our old truck.

 

Added a pretty cherry older 200 series to our driveway. Since my boy lost his 05 Tundra, the musical chairs with the cars begin. Wife gets the 200 Series, I get her old lady Tundra, and my boy gets my 100 series.
