Was this an actual order or a pre-order? Do you have confirmation?

What dealer did the install? Is the same dealership you ordered it from?

The quality of the kit is impressive. You can tell a lot of thought went into this kit. I imagine the lack of a diff drop requires much more effort to correct all the angles. My local dealer just so happened to have a few kits in their warehouse, but they were open to me purchasing the kit somewhere else and they would install it under their normal labor rates. Hindsight, I should have purchased the discounted kit and taken it to the dealer to install. It would have saved me roughly a grand. but YMMV with your dealer. Definitely call them and verify.

I think the big difference is I had my moustache painted, so it almost completely changes how the front end is perceived.

Stephen Wade Toyota in St. George, UT. Yeah they had the kit at their warehouse, so I purchased from them and they installed it.

I don’t love my local dealership but I will see if they can accommodate me. It is getting shipped to my house. Honestly I didn’t expect to see it any time soon and on some level was thinking I would install myself. Thinking it through the warranty will be worth the pain and cost of going through a dealership. If my local gives me grief I am prepared to go to a different dealership. Im not trying to bash my local but I don’t have warm feelings for them.

Alright got one. Apparently Toyota didn't update the website. The local dealer contacted the local Toyota hub and got one.

I actually, got the confirmation this morning and it is already in stock. I called them and confirmed. They told me the package is on a pallet and very large and easily over 250lbs. I’m trying to reach the service department about the install but no luck.

Also curious would it make any sense to upgrade from the TRD Pro suspension to this?

Just an update… after trying to get ahold of a service adviser all day. Finally spoke to them and scheduled the install for Friday. $1100 6 hours of labor includes them installing my new tires and alignment

    None, yet
Do you get any original parts back after this install? Worth trying to resell?

Probably not…Pro has better shocks (Fox) vs the TRD lift has Bilstein shocks…it’s better than the Bilsteins that come with the stock OR truck but its not better than the Fox shocks the Pro has.

My local Toyota Mod shop (not dealer) said the TRD kit would perform similarly to the westcott.

I think they’re just trying to dissuade me from going that route because they want to make a sale. (They’re also trying to sell me some icons 2.5 shocks)

Is the TRD lift actually a superior product to westcott? Or do people like it because it has a Toyota warranty?

The TRD kit is vastly superior while maintaining warranty. Wescott is just a spring pre-load collar.

Agree with @DFS - The Toyota TRD lift would be superior as it is an actual lift with new suspension parts which will improve ride quality, and off-road-ability.

don’t get work done by anyone that says the factory lift is the same as the westcott collar lift, that’s just nonsense.

TRD kit looks nice! I don't understand all the hype around the Westcott kit. They ride terrible over anything but flat ground. I'm shocked more people aren't complaining. Sold mine finally!!

Agree, most all of the similar kits or spacer kits ride like crap to me.

People don't know any better. They think a pre load collar, off road wheels, and tires is as good as it gets.

What dealer ? I see your profile says DFW. It would be worth a 3 hour drive after what my dealer quoted me. Appreciate it.

Wow!!! So I brought it in today and the service tech told me they quoted me incorrect. They had no idea the kit was an entire suspension and they stated the amount of labor hours is 27 and the cost went up to 3,900 just for the install and apparently NO one has installed this yet. There has to be a better option.

27 hours WTH !! The dealer I’m talking to spent a while going page by page to give me a quote. The service manager has been awesome. Apparently there is only one tech they will let do this type of work . He came up with a labor cost of 3k max/20 hrs. He did say it would most likely be less, but he’s never done one and doesn’t want to under quote me. That was before I told him I did not want to delete the fog lights, I’m sure that alone would be around 300ish in labor.

Looks like I’m gonna sit back and let the techs get a few under their belt before I have it installed. Thanks for the info everyone.

for that much money I would expect Toyota/TRD to help the angles of the CV boots. :(
