    Just make sure that they are facing up so the don't get full of water, or in this case, sand.

    When we were getting ready to move to Tucson 26 odd years ago I was pretty excited to see the rivers on a map I was checking out (pre Google maps/Earth/interwebs satellite imagery).

    Talk about a let down :(.

    Putting it on my calendar right now!!

    Thanks! Going to try and keep the boat thread going every Monday. Mrs. Blender teaches a wimmins class at the house ( like 20 of them) starting last Monday, that runs 29 weeks. Soooooo, I'm smart enough to vacate and go find a quite place to hang out for a bit. Hopefully I can get that episode wrapped up during that time. I think that was day 6, so 15 more days from that trip.

    In my racing days, Crew Chief for a Formula Mazda team with SCCA, we raced Firebird Main and Firebird East road course tracks. I had no idea they put down a drag strip for boats! I'll try to get out and cheer y'all on!

    One time in band camp… no wait it was at Creve Coeur Park in Missouri I was 17 yr old and had the cannon man position for the boat races. My job was to make sure everyone was in position coming number 4 corner and if they were I fired the cannon to start the race. I was able to get into the pits before and after and one Friday night we had a big party where I met everyone.

    The next day it was like the third race a guy I met and was drinking with the night before got his throttle stuck wide open going into number 3 corner and was bouncing violently trying to make that turn and just before he got to me his boat front end went into the water, broke the boat in half, he was ejected and the prop cut him in half in front of me. There was a very long pause for clean up but I was visibly disturbed by the scene but I finished the races. Never forget that
