Today I discovered the auto camera button that deploys front camera and 360 view when rolling into slow speed like parking. Great feature . Could be annoying during stop and go traffic tho

One thing to note that I didn’t realize is that apparently Youota uses a new frequency for their TPMS system. They also changed wheel stud threads. So if you’re swapping tires from a Taco to the Tundra, the bolt pattern is the same but you’ll need new lugs and possibly new sensors.

I installed Firestone airbags on two trucks and Timben SES on two trucks. I like air bags ability to adjust air pressure according to load. Only issues I've had with airbags on my Tacoma they started leaking air pressure after 5 years. Pump them up to the pressure you want and they will leak over a couple months, I do not have a onboard air compressor.

The Timbren system yielded a firmer ride with heavy loads in the bed on the first truck installed about 10 years ago. Last truck I installed Timbren on (last year) the ride was OK with heavily loaded bed compared to the first set I installed. Believe Timbren is upgrading rubber compound for better ride with the SES system, just a guess.

With airbags or Timbren systems, have less sag with both.

There's less work involved when installing the Timbren system compared to airbags.

Couple hours of work this morning and the Timbrens are installed. Will test with travel trailer during the next couple weeks.

No, they are designed to have an air gap between the differential and block when the vehicle is empty to ride on the normal suspension. I keep the bed loaded with camping gear and had to jack on the trailer hitch for clearance to install the Timbren system on our Tundra, believe that's recommended to make the installation go easily with or without a loaded vehicle.

it is amazing, but it is 50/50 driving around. Has saved my butt a few times pulling out the driveway or a parking lot and not smoking a tricycle/ toy or shopping cart

personally thinking about airbags and Timbren off-road- get the best of both worlds?

I tried the Timbren off road for towing, they are softer rubber than the Timbren SES system and don't stop rear sag when towing heavy tongue weight trailers. Probably great for off road use, but I'm not a off road 4 wheel enthusiast, ride motorcycles off pavement.

Airbags are fine for towing. Cannot speak to how effective they are for off road work.

Here's airbags that are installed next to the springs where the jounce blocks are located for the 2022 Tundra:

I installed the Binize Wireless Carplay Android Auto 4G video box. This thing is great. I also dropped in the OEM bed mat that was delivered today. Things are coming along slowly. I just received the APA color matched Lunar Rock film to de-chrome the mustache. Contemplating whether or not to attempt the install myself or to have it professionally wrapped. I've never wrapped anything...but I am a DIY type of guy. Anyone have any pointers on wrapping the mustache? Lay it over and wrap or take the mustache apart and wrap? Or should I just have it professionally done?

I've got 10 of those extra brackets that go under the board. Ended up using the smallest ones when the next pack had enough mediums. I'd still be out there if it wasn't for youtube.

Added some marker lights to the flares..

Always been a fan of lights on the side, ever since my first car was an ‘85 Monte Carlo with the park lights in the fender skirts.

I would take it off to wrap it if it were me. If I remember right the lunar rock wrap wasn't really that expensive so if it doesn't work out you're not too much in debt. I'd watch a fair amount of youtube videos to build up your confidence and make sure to take pictures and let us know how it goes. I for one am very curious how it matches as I'm debating either wrapping or painting.

I'd say I'm somewhat anal. I submitted for a quote and it ranged from $250 to $800 just to get the mustache wrapped. I'd rather just pay to order a paint matched set for high $700's than pay to have it wrapped for a price of $800.

I paid $122 for the wrap once all was said and done. It was like $72 for the wrap and $50 to ship. I've been watching YouTube videos on wrapping to see if I can tackle the project. I'm still debating on whether to do it myself or have it professionally done.

After another trip to CBI for more prototype work, we got the front bumper on and skids installed! The truck is looking pretty tough lately.
