Newb installation thread- Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX into a 2018 SR5 Entune Non-JBL

Is the trans gauge showing erroneous info or is it non-operational altogether?

 

When first flashed it shows nothing, after scanning pids it's correct.

Edit actually it may not be available at all pre scan.

 

That very well could be. Easy to test - just de-term that one pin and see what you get. Now you've got me curious

It's on a Roku. I bought a mini HDMI to HDMI cable. I used the USB C to USB cable that came with it and plugged it into my factory USB retention cable so my factory port works like a charm.

Did you ever get your backup camera figured out? Couple questions....Where did you mount your GPS antenna and did you have to use the OBD connector for the gauges? I have a few things that show up without the OBD....I'll take some pics of what my guage options are. When I originally installed the Meastro, the shop told me that I didn't need the OBD because I would get the info through the data cable since mine is a 2020. I don't know if that was correct or not. On this install, I connected the OBD to the harness and have the connector tucked behind the center console for now....I haven't tried plugging it in yet.

 

I used the OEM GPS antenna and I also used the OBD plug that came with the Maestro harness.

 

Did your OEM radio have navigation? Mine didn't so I don't remember if I have an OEM GPS connector or not. I'll try plugging the OBD in to see if I get anything different.

 

No but the harness already had a GPS connector.

 

Maybe mine fell back in the dash when I was doing the install. I think the GPS is just for the clock though isn't it? I'd have to look at the manual again.

Did you install an HDMI port or are you plugging into a cable? I've seen some videos where the guy stashed it in his glove box

It took me a minute to find out how to do it myself

 

Not the fastest in the world but its working lol. Nothing like downloading another app to load websites. I just added our local news channel and the hurricane center page.

I didn't see any performance at 1.0 because I was too concerned with settings and updates before I did anything.
