-2022 Coachmen Freedom Express 192 RBS
Manufacturer numbers 490 tongue. Gross 6,000
First weigh was 640 tongue but after dumping the fresh tank, dealer felt the need to fill the fresh water half way(25 gals), and removing the spare that was engineered by a moron, and adding enough water for on the road bathroom stops, tongue weight is now 550.
    -Equalizer 4 way WDH 1,000/10,000

Other than a few lawn chairs loaded for towing. The pantry and fridge are full aft so shouldn't add tongue weight, if anything lower it once loaded.

    Now for the numbers.
    Front wheel well height:
    unhitched 36.375
    coupled : 36.625
    WDH connected 36.375

Sounds like you nailed it. It's amazing how the WDH works. I have one as well.

    Thnaks ,
Those are actually wheel skins that came with the wheels. But I mocked them up with a custom center logo. Planning on painting the actual wheels and a set of center caps to look the same.

I once had our 23' 6,000# GVWR trailer so close just moving two cases of drinking water from the back to the front made a noticeable difference in how well the trailer stayed in trail. My wife gets frustrated with me when I tell her we need to place canned goods under the bed in the front of offset the weight of the bottles of Asti under the rear dinette seats. Since my fresh water tank in aslo under the bed in the front I can add of subtract water for fine tuning.
Once you get loaded for the trip and your WDH set up, get a weigh at a CAT scale to get a good baseline for future trips. Getting everything balanced turns a white knuckled trip from hell into a properly enjoyable vacation.

I have storage under the 3 seats around my U-dinette, which also happen to be pretty much right over the axles. I typically have to grab all the heavy stuff my wife has shoved in the rear storage and move it there. She doesn't like to use the under seat storage because it's more work to get stuff in and out, especially from the side one.

We travel with items packed differently than once set up. A PITA but necessary. Since we usually set up long term it's only a pain when we get there and when we leave. The one problem I have is my wife thinks she must pack enough food to last us 7 months instead just the 2-3 days it takes up to get to our destination. Our shower has a couple of Rubbermaid totes containing items that will go on the counters and shelves for traveling. Once at camp those empty containers just get shoved under the trailer.

    Good looking combo!

Are you close to the 6,000 GVWR? If so, 550 tongue weight seems a little light. 10% is usually about minimum.

I like the way mine tows with the freshwater tank full, feels much more planted and less prone to sway with more TW.

Not second guessing you, just asking so please don't take offense... we all help each other stay safe right?

Well we made our first trip Columbus day weekend. Plan was for me to head to the river early and my wife and daughter would meet me after work. I got hitched up and headed out but about 15 miles out I started getting TPMS warnings so in an abundance of caution, I turned back and switched over to the 2500HD. Both set ups handled sway well but the 2500HD had excessive bounce at times. leading me to the same thought as SD Surfer. At least with the 2500HD I'll need to fill the water tank. For clarity the water tank is at the front.

All that said, I think the 2500HD will be the tow vehicle, at least for now. The Tundra will need better tires, probably D or E rated. The 8 ft bed carries every thing we want to carry. While serious weight management would be needed to stay under the Tundras payload.

    Payload as built 1240
    Dealer add ons -153 = 1087
    Hard toneau cover -40 = 1047
    tongue weight -550 = 497
Spare tire for trailer -43 = 460 (can't have on trailer frame and have WDH)

    Payload as built 3100
    Dealer add ons -153 = 2947
    Hard toneau cover -40 = 2907
    tongue weight -550 = 2357
Spare tire for trailer -43 = 2314 (can't have on trailer frame and have WDH)

Once you load up the grill, screen room and chairs that's another 130.
    The numbers jusr don't work.

Not trying to put the Tundra down, but at the end of the day it's a 1/2 ton truck and with a Crew max cab the cargo space and weight is limited. Not to say you can't build a working matchup, it just doesn't make sense to try when I have a 2500HD sitting in the drive with the 8.1L/Allison.

One other note. At 60 mph the Tundra turns ~3000 rpms, the 2500HD 2000 rpms. My guess is this is the difference between the transmissions and Toyota's recommendation to use S4 which if I understand correctly eliminates the final 2 gears.
