Well that picture is all wrong. You need to have your pinky up higher, just like when you drink your martinis. You Ford guys have no class!

The IIHS designation came down to the headlights AFAIK, not the actual crash ratings. I assume your lightning headlights arn't the peasant beater halogen lamps are they?

Wait till you accidently bump that thing into 4H, then sit there and wonder why on earth the truck doesn't wanna back out of a parking spot, and feels the drivetrain fused itself almost shut.
(gave me a damn heart attack a few weeks ago when I did this by accident)

headlights and structural cage difference for tundra vs f150. not sure what the lightning are, haven't driven at night to test it. the ones on my lariat were meh and were supposedly top of class.

Update: Leveling kit/spacers are removed. Installed the HaloLifts Mountain kit with SPC UCAs over the weekend. Very happy so far. With the adjustable collars spun all the way out (12 turns anyway) I netted just over 1.5" of lift, but they lift up to 3". 1.5 keeps my CV angles the way I wanted and give me just under 2" of rake. Much more planted than stock, compression seems about as plush but rebound is better so much less "squishy".

My Tremor headlights are awesome, especially after I used Forscan to enable the Adaptive lights. I would have thought your Lariat lights would have been the same

Rebound always seems to be the issue with the OE f150 shocks. I was driving my truck empty on a freeway onramp(one freeway merging onto another so the ramp was 55mph) and hit a bridge joint and I am pretty sure that the rear tires left the ground. I started to slide but the advancetrac got it back in line almost instantly.

After I cleaned out my underwear I went online and bought my Bilstein 5100's. Even $200 worth of shocks made a massive difference.

They are the same. For me it didn't shoot out far enough. On curves it did well dynamically bending etc. But on straight aways it was bad outward visibility. To me. I'm also blind af.

I think with the aluminum body/bed it's just really light in the rear end, so they almost tune them to have a little weight. But yea, a little squirrely when empty.

I should qualify my previous statement, with as compared to my 2015 Tacoma headlights which were terrible. But even compared to my wife's 2022 T4R ORP they are better in the Tremor. I probably have ̶m̶u̶c̶h̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶n̶g̶e̶r̶ less experienced eyes too though

The 22 pro lights are really good but I think it fucks with other drivers which I don't like. I've been flashed a few times.

i will say though. I only have 100 miles on the lightning and 1800 on the TRD pro and so far i've been stopped on the road 5-6 times in the lightning. zero in the trd pro lol. Even had a 22 platinum tundra stop me to ask about the lightning.

Todays the day in 2021 I traded in my 2018 crv for a 21 tundra TRD pro . In the one year since then I traded that to the 21 f150 ,traded that to the 22 crv, traded that to 22 TRD pro and lightning .

if the 23 pilot gets a real center console then honestly probably take the bigger one.

23 crv still doesn’t have front vent seat options

I think you’re correct on the IIHS ratings. Both the Tundra and F150 had identical crash testing ratings. The Tundra just comes standard with headlights that don’t suck.

Lightning dealer reached out and has a black raptor with blue recaro package on lot and they want my lightning. Thing is they usually carruy a 20k adm on the raptor. So that means the lightning trade in should be 125k right?

You should be able to get them to do a close to straight across deal, I wouldn't expect any cash back. If it's a 37" PP then expect them to lowball the Lightning even more.

not a 37 pp. It's just 801, blue interior, tail gate and pano roof. $81.5k msrp. I'd take straight across. I also sent them the specs on the pro. But honestly the pro is loved by all in the family lol. It's just me and my son that want the raptor.

If a pinky could engage 4A on the '22 Tundra that would show those Ford guys what's what about 4WD etiquette. Oh wait, '22 Tundra isn't available with 4A no matter how many fingers you have.

I'm looking for something better MPG-wise than this beast '19 but nothing stands out to me right now that can match it for longevity and overall versatility.

Another pro/con of Tundra vs F-150:

    • Tundra has full screen Android Auto, F-150 does not.
    • Tundra remote starts engine shuts off when you open the door, F-150 does not.

    Android? Peasant.

That remote start shutoff alone was enough of a deal breaker for me to avoid the Tundra.

Is CarPlay at least wireless? It’s ridiculous that the phone has be plugged in on my wife’s 2022 T4R ORP.
