Having the padded door panels with the matching center console is really going to start to bring in the theme I’m going for. To remove the panel I had to drill out plastic welds. Remove one panel screw and the two screws holding in the Handel assembly. Then I peeled the old pleather off and removed the shortest staples I’ve ever seen from the corners. After cutting an exact piece of neoprene out it was time to spray 3m adhesive on the panel as well as the neoprene. After using my hands to mold everything over the proper edges I employed a butter knife to smooth everything out with even strokes to ensure the two pieces got a proper full bond. Finally I used low profile fender screws that are made fir plastic to reattach the panel. It came out pretty good with no flaws. Going to install the panel in the morning and do the other side. I’ll post pics from inside when I’m done.

First of all...great attention to detail and you are doing a very professional job of installing that camo.

I suppose you plan on keeping that truck forever because the resale value certainly took a hit and now appeals to a much smaller group of potential buyers. But, I guess you knew that going into this mod.

Do you have any detailed info on the Lux Auto mats, I'm assuming they're waterproof? I really like that idea for protecting so much of the floor area. Here in winter wearing big salty wet boots you're bound to get the carpet wet even with floor mats, I like that you can put the normal mats over it. Took a look at their site and not a huge fan of their car selection stuff, doesn't seem very complete as far as selection front/back etc.

As far as the colors the blaze orange and camo theme I don't mind being a hunter, but as you've said there is too much orange. What you did with the neoprene looks very well done, but honestly the quality of the orange stick-on accents is no where near that. I'd think you may be better off looking at what pieces you'd like to have the orange, removing them and having them painted versus the overlays.

The overlays are a little cheesy but it’s not permanent. They’re really high quality though. And add protection. I would like to do it in paint one day down the road. But I’m not 100% digging it yet. The overlays is really a test run. I’m just not ready for that type of commitment yet. Lol
I really like the floor mats because they are full coverage. They basically cover all exposed carpet in the truck. It’s a lot easier to clean. Wet rag and armor all. And it cuts down on sound a little. My doors and back floors and all the way up the back has been double layered for sound deadening. Really the only road noise I hear comes from behind the dash. I can have my bass hitting pretty loud and you can’t hear it from the outside. And you can’t hear my high’s 15-20’ away. I’m free to fully jam out anywhere at any time. I’d like to sound deaden the firewall and completely cut the road out but that would be an extremely long and frustrating job. I might do it this winter. I’ll try to add a video showing how effective the sound deadening is on the truck.
