What does our stock rear leaf spring look like fully articulated? Here it is

I have been thinking about it, so basically if the suspension is already fully compressed and it still doesn't hit the stock bumpstop that means the shocks are at risk right?

This is totally possible, having some shock shaft left doesn't mean it still has up-travel. If you're doing this a lot, do consider taller bumps like Sumo springs

Seems like I am going to be ordering some timbrens bumpstops, I do offroad like every month but they are all slow crawl type nothing speedy, but I love having peace of mind knowing my rear shocks are okay. Thanks!

I love this, I need to make something similar. Do you have plans or measurements for how you made it?

Got 35/12.5/17 toyo open country at3 on method 701@zero offset installed.
Bilstein 6112 @ 1.9. One inch rear shackle. SPC upper arms.
It rubbed at full lock in reverse. Body mount chop will fix it.
Love the look. Thanks for all the info in these threads on how to make them fit.

I started with a 60"x31" piece of 1/2" plywood and made a few contoured cuts to better tuck up against the back of the seats. Then used a few legs for the front and that's it. It's pretty basic, I only used a jigsaw for the cutting. I could have just left it as a rectangle but I was trying to be fancy.

Looks damn good. I'd really like to go with that setup, just don't want to do the bmc.

As long as you stay with no more poke than +25mm offset wheels you should not need a BMC

I gave my truck a good scrub with chemical guys Mr. Pink. Chemical Guys Clay Lube and clay bar. Then, just for fun, I spent $50.00 Canadian on some chemical guys HydroSlick.

    Chemical Guys HydroSlick is:

"HydroSlick is a true ceramic coating that provides unmatched protection, brilliant shine and optical clarity in an easy to apply ceramic gel!"

I gotta say boys, I like it. I like it a lot. Looks phenomenal and I would bet I could HydroSlick my truck 4 or maybe 5 times with one bottle. The paint feels slick as butter, the shine is perfect. I am really hoping it stands up, but am not expecting much from a $50 DIY ceramic coating that took a couple hours to do.

    Am I happy? Yes
    Would I recommend? Yes
Will I do it again? Every 3 months.

I’m 57. I skated on Independents back in the late 70’s (still have the scare of 20 stitches in my head to prove it). Think I will relive my youth and order me a shirt. Thanks for trip done memory lane. I still use my board today….to move refrigerators/freezers….

I forgot to post yesterday but I had my Tundra re-tuned using HP Tuner. First tune was too sensitive at initial throttle which wasnt good when my toddler and newborn were aboard. Now it's much much better and I would say it's perfect. My MPGs are going back up.
