Was the large Gerber Gator. There is a CRKT CEO in there that's hard to see.

The cool thing about this is that doing the pair of chefs and paring together, I can make the handle scales and details match. Looking forward to these!

Nice work! Very cool! Would you mind posting some pictures of your shop? What kind of steels are you using?

Ehh...that would mean I would have to clean up my shop....;)

It's nothing special. 12x40, one side of my castle-to-be couryard.

Steel is all 5160, my favorite as its a good reliable steel, except for the damascus blade and pommel inserts, which is forged from steel cable.

A couple shop pics that I'm not too embarrassed to post:

It’s always good to meet another knife maker! I have not yet made a sword. Not sure I ever will. This crusader’s dagger is the closest I have come.
    https://rtknives.com/?product=crusader-dagger
it is actually a piece of my Toyota leaf spring that I had laying around! lol

edit: after I replaced my leaf springs with custom Alcan springs

Nice. Leaf springs are 5160 so I approve of your choice of metal ;)

    Yep.
I kinda made it by accident, lol.
I had made a broadfork for gardening and lost track of the tines. About 2 weeks later I found this nice long pointy piece of spring steel laying by my forge. Hmmm, I gotta use this for something…
So I came up with this dagger.
If you don’t know what a broadfork is, here’s a picture I grabbed from the web,

This one is ready for heat treatment. There’s still a lot to do before this is finished, but most of the hurdles that pose catastrophic risks are behind me!C07635EA-CA68-4E43-A04E-67D99C7556A6.jpg85A664BB-2DA6-4183-889E-9438E34AD1DC.jpgAEAEB2F1-E85B-4137-B6FC-0D564918C688.jpg

Demko AD20.5 with D2 “sharks foot” blade, Grivory scales, and titanium deep-carry clip. Action is awesome, and the shark lock is really cool. Carries a little bigger than I was hoping, but I think I’ll get used to it.

    Love this knife.
    It’s a practical beefy.
And the opening action could probably crack walnuts.
Actually, got in a debate a few pages back about how much it cost.

    The value is self-evident.
