Bought a 12" BAM last year first impressions great throttle response, good sound, and not loud at all. It be an awesome stock performance exhaust if Toyota offered something like this, few months later I ended up swapping it for an 8" BAM. First impressions on first start up and couple of miles into driving. This is by no means loud or obnoxious as a flowmaster or any other system is. I was nervous on how loud or aggressive it would be but it's not. This is perfect and its exactly how a tundra should sound. While driving yes you hear it more but not as in more volume/loud inside the cab, all I can say it's more noticeable as in you know you have an exhaust on it if that makes sense.

Overall I'm very happy, wondering how would the 6 sound......;)

I did the opposite. Had the 8 but swapped for 12. 8 was really deep insode the cabin at lower speeds, easing around. Swapped for 12 and it still has that real deep hum at low speeds but less volume at WOT. Had i known that sound was basically the same ida just kept the 8 cuz it sounds better when u stomp on it. Unless ive just got some other issue but the sound is pretty annoying.

I probably should've mentioned this earlier, has anyone else had issues connecting their new BA exhaust to their stock tailpipe? When I installed mine I noticed the BA outlet diameter was about the same as my tailpipe diameter so in a way it doesn't slip on properly and it's pretty much being held by the exhaust clamp.

I’ve done a couple of OEM swaps. In every case the tail pipe flange butts up against the muffler outlet flange and the clamp holds them together. I did notice with some that the tail pipe flange and the muffler outlet flange seems to slot together in a fixed position which doesn’t really allow you to adjust the tail pipe for levelness but seems to butt them tighter. In either case everything worked fine once clamped.

I ran the TRD duals for 2 years and switched to the dirty deeds single 8” about 2-3 months ago. I really liked the TRD exhaust, the dual exits, and the tone, sounded unique to me, I described it as sounding like a v8 subaru, almost had that boxer motor rough sound. After awhile the helicopter sounding drone on road trips started to annoy me, so I switched to the dirty deeds. I ran it with no resonator for a couple of weeks and really liked it, then put the resonator on and it’s way quieter in the cab, almost too quiet. But man it sure is nice on road trips, it’s stock quiet. I’d like to run it no resonator around town and throw it on for trips but so far been too lazy. I finally had the wife drive it today and listen to it from the outside going by and it sounds way rowdier outside than the TRD did. My only drawback to the dirty deeds is the tone sounds more like a standard old truck, sounds pretty much just like a Chevy or ford with a flowmaster. I have to say I like the unique tone of the TRD a little better, but overall the dirty deeds is better for my use and it completely got rid of the annoying helicopter sound. And it does have more volume overall than the TRD, which I wanted. Almost tempted to try the 6” but will most likely just keep what I have. They say they make more low end power too but my butt dyno can’t feel any difference. Overall happy with it and would probably do it again.

Had a small drip once, which was resolved with a new gasket.

I've always wanted to get the TRD exhaust because of that unique sound as well. But I ended up getting the BAM system because of the low end power too. Maybe later ill get a TRD or cut the pipe from the original muffler and rig something up with a Carven or Spintech
