Customizing my tundra.

Thanks. Wish I hadn’t of done the fender flairs. Should of went oem for them. It just camo wrapped.

 

I’ll update as I go. I just Redid my center console in camo wetsuit neoprene. This is the look I’m going for. I’m definitely going to remove some pieces in my orange dash kit to make room for some camo. It was a pain but came out really nice.

I could of used an extra set of hands. I didn’t want any seems so I put a pretty good stretch on the corners and used my hands and feet to hold everything in place while I glued it down lol. When you screw the plastic pieces together it fully locks everything in. I used headliner adhesive over the whole thing and super glue on the edges around the corners. And as an added precaution I ran a small bead of shoegoo at the corners after the plastics was put back together. I wanted to be sure it’ll take some heavy abuse.

 

You're gonna want to keep some orange in there in case you forget where you parked in the woods. It'll keep you from accidentally driving out of the forest in a fallen oak tree.

Seriously, it's your truck and you've got some serious attention to detail.

Honestly the colors dont do it for me yet but Im super stoked your doing something different and chasing the vision. itll come together. Amazing job on that center console!

That last thing we need is a Cav Blue owner strolling in here and talking about color choices…

 

I'm feeling some color envy coming from yet another Army Green owner. I'm not too familiar with these forums, but if you need to come on over to TW and you can fully express your feelings of Cav Blue being the best blue.

 

Not sure what "TW" stands for. Is it like "Only Fans" but for people with color-blindness?

Actually I have. I can’t make up my mind how I’m going to do it yet. When I fist showed up to the paint shop to pick my truck up I saw the front first and was like hell yeah. Then I saw the fenders from the side and thought to myself ( what have I done) ‍♂️ and it wasn’t cheep so I’m going to try and work with it. I’ve thought of running camo from the hood down the sides in a Tiger stripped pattern that will craw across the fenders and across the back side windows. And camo dipping the rims. But I’m hesitant. I’d hate to spend more money to get the custom vinyl and show up again thinking (what have I done). I need to find a program/app that will let me see how it’ll look.

I would think you could do a little mockup in something like photoshop. Maybe just take a pic, print out a few copies and start drawing your ideas on it.

It's not my preferred color, but I dig it just because it's so different from the normal "delete chrome, add black".
