Has anyone ever though about having a body shop mold their hood bulge to the hood making it all one piece? If possible, it would definitely reduce the possibility of it falling off at some point. There is a truck near me that is missing his hood bulge and it drives me nuts every time I see it.

We’ve got one here too who is missing theirs. They have I think five bolts that *should* be holding them in plus the clips. I know mine was a bitch to get off for the chrome delete. I don’t know what happened with that dude’s. :notsure:

Yeah I know people have had theirs fall off due to the original clips in which Toyota changed part numbers and went to a different clip a couple of years ago. Once the clips pop, it's easy for the bulge to come off. If you look at where the bolts go, those mounting points are hollow so they can snap easily.

My issue is with the light bar, the corners flex and stick up a little in the heat. I am going to have a local shop give me an estimate to mold and paint it to the hood if it can be done. I bet it would look sweet. I'm getting ready to convert my cargo lights to 3rd brake lights as well.

Mine kept popping up having the gap on the top.
Replaced with different (and new) clips and it still popped up.
It ended up breaking one of the bolt mounts.
I tried 5 different glues and epoxies to secure the 'speed nut' back in place, but none of them would hold longer than a week.
I ended up buying a new hood bulge and it hasn't happened since.

Noice! Ive been wanting to LED that out because it now doesnt match the tail lights and kind of drives me bonkers

You had to ask.. Insanity here. Projects and surgeries galore, husband just had #3 from the plane crash and I’m going in for a torn meniscus in November. Ignored it for a few years but its now causing my knee to physically lock up and Ive fallen a couple times. We have the same surgeon and he jokes that we need our own wing built at the office because we’re in there so often getting repaired.
Only flown once this year due to the adultey shit at home. New coop built, finishing the new shed this week, and installed heater in the garage. Busy busy
    How about you?

Wow sounds like alot going on. I'm good here.....just looking into energy improvements for the house. The heat is killing us, the AC, and the electric bill lol.
