Track your Tundra when in "F" status on the train

Didn't realize there was such a thing. How can one tell the difference?

Great forum. Trading my 2014 for a 2022 that's hopefully on its way. Can someone please check status of VIN: 5TFJA5DB0NX050602.

 

A letter in the last six digits is a pre production VIN. All production VIN’s must be all #’s for the last six.

 

I got that. I was just answering his question as to how you know the difference between temp and permanent VIN.

Speaking of that... Wish I knew my VIN! Dealership doesn't have to be responsive, because people are falling over themselves to purchase cars in this environment, and I haven't heard from them since the day I gave them my deposit.

How close to the scheduled build does the permanent VIN get assigned? My salesperson seems to be a bit of a space cadet and had no idea what I meant when I asked her if a permanent VIN was assigned, and if the actual window sticker was available (I asked last week, and the build is/was scheduled for 9/7). She had no idea that the VIN she gave me was temporary. Can anyone help me help her by pointing her in the right direction on where to look?

I am a bit confused as to where you guys are getting the information for status. I've scoured the internet and just gotten a bunch of bogus websites that don't do anything. I'm looking to try to track 5TFLA5AB8NX016730 but all my dealer will give me is "it looks like maybe somewhere around the 20th". Not alot of help.

Not sure why the say it will be there this week, its on the QC hold as of 8/30 and its at least a 30 day hold.

 

I talked to my Toyota sales specialist from Straatmann Toyota Washington Missouri who by the way is the only sales person at my dealer. Bought under MSRP. Talk to Lauren. Talk about a busy person! She looked it up to confirm QC hold and was also able to tell me it’s only like 4 hours from the dealer now in Kansas City Mo. The hold was placed after she told me the first week in September delivery date. Nothing anyone can do about that. She is a great sales associate, I completely value her time, definitely a check just for her at close! I can wait! Thanks for the kind service Mike. Great advocation of Toyota! Your a Good Samaritan! Does anyone know how to track using the TouchTrace system when there's no letters before the numbers? The system asks for the rail abbreviations, but there are none listed for mine
