What else are people doing this weekend?

Since I passed 30k miles, it is time to change the fluids in the transfer case and diffs. Might get a tranny sample pulled too for analysis. Very curious how it is holding up with the towing I do. And I’ve got a bunch of mods sitting in the garage waiting for a weekend like this.

But first…donuts and taking the family to look at a trailer.

 

It was our 4th wedding anniversary on Thursday so we're dropping the kids off at their grandparents' today for a sleepover and going to the botanical gardens then out for dinner.

Tomorrow, winterizing the trailer. Monday not sure yet.

 

Yard work, a few mods, preparing to do mods for another guy in Texas.

 

Haha nope! Only moving 10mi from my current location but still the biggest pain in the ass. The so so coffee this morning didn’t help.

My trans fluid looked a little darker than I thought it should, I'm @50k. Still red but just not bright red. I plan on doing 2 more drain and fills over the next few weeks.

No pics. Dealer had “zero room” on their price and we are about $10k off so the dream is prob dead. I call BS but if they want to be like that then fine. They have my email and cell.

Knew the fam was coming so I threw three SUPs in the bed and my 80qt cooler filled with water. Hit the truck scales again. While I’ll be well under GCWR with this trailer I’ll be right at the max axle weights. Grrr.

And finally, made the mistake of washing the truck yesterday. So weather report be damned, it is raining just enough to keep me off the wet driveway to change fluids.

 

Yeah, zero room is BS unless he's already way under msrp.
Gas is still high and with all the '23 models showing up soon they'll be calling you this fall.

 

He’s advertising about 20% below MSRP, but MSRP is BS in this industry. And there are four others in this state with the same magical price. Plus, he seriously lowballed me on my trailer trade.
