    I get that a lot.

Buddy's tent. I'll actually be using my RTT, but it's not set up yet. I'm just being the camp guard while they are out bow hunting. Just enjoying the breeze in the trees with the ol' lever gun on my lap. I don't do archery, so I won't be hunting until October.

Nice! I like the looks of those. Same with Springbar. I want a roomy, easy set up tent I can put a woodstove in.

It's roomy, and you can get models that can use stoves, but "easy to set up" is subjective. Solo this particular one would be damn near impossible, and being short (I'm 5'6") makes it worse. Definitely glad the two other guys in camp are 6'+ for set up.

I'm 5'5" and would like to be able set up alone. The Kodiak tents that have stove jacks are the big cabin style ones and look too cumbersome to set up alone. The Springbar Classic Jack 140 looks like it would fit the bill nicely but at $1500 + shipping after exchange it's a pretty penny. The Gazelle tents look perfect but they won't work with a stove.

This one has a little zipper vent for a propane hose. Tank sits outside, heater sits inside. Less interior space taken up, easier to start, won't go out in the middle of the night. Just something to consider.

I'm just not big on ground tents. This one probably could be set up solo, but it wouldn't be fast. As long as it isn't dark or terrible wind/weather, then you'd likely be ok.

I don't fuck with cottonmouths, they're born pissed off! I've had plenty of them try and come after me, especially when I used to lay water main pipe in rural Louisiana. Thank God I always had a shovel in my hand.

I do have quite a story about encountering one early one morning when I was tripping balls on shrooms while hiking naked in the woods. Good times

That works but propane doesn't play well at -5F and colder temps we get during hunting season here. I've got a Buddy heater for my ice fishing tent, but I have to keep the tank in the tent otherwise the propane gets too cold.

Plus there's just something nice about a crackling wood stove going in a wall tent...

$1500?!? Jeez. I’m not setting up a base camp on Everest. If I am paying that much or more for a tent, the thing better set itself up with the click of a button and make me pancakes.

Right? I mean, they're awesome tents and should last a lifetime if taken care of. I guess when you think about it, it's only maybe the equivalent of 10 nights in a mid-tier hotel so after 10 nights in the woods it's paid for itself...

They're the only snake I've ever come across that will actively pursue someone to bite them. Other snakes usually slither off, but a cottonmouth? They're like the one guy in the bar who has to fight anyone that looks in their direction.
