Spent the past week on a stay-cation. Visiting family, some house chores and video games. Put some miles on the truck

So I went to the local dealer and never realized they have their own body shop there, had it done in half a week. They even took my old cracked one to use for color matching. Last weekend I was able to get it on after taking a long while to extract about 7 broken bolts between the rear support and the lower tabs. I got replacement hardware at Home Cheapo and they had GM replacement body bolts. I didn't realize the M6 was M6.3 not M6.0, but worked good because a couple of the ones I drilled out weren't exactly centered so the larger diameter helped. I was surprised to find they also had the Toyota push pin retainer things, grabbed a few of those just for backups too.

Modified the harness I made for the AGM battery GM diode, filed the edges off the side of the mini fuse plug after realizing it was always loose was because it couldn't seat down all the way. Here's a before and after comparing it to a normal fuse.

Yesterday sprayed out the bed and installed a gap guard, will see how long it stays on for. Was using bricks to weight it down after installing.

TracRac bed rack, Retrax bedcover, Anytime forward facing camera, Rago dash mounting plate, changed all lights to LED with 1200lumen reverse light, added LED above tag reverse light, rear bumper step, Go Rhino step sides, CCM Cat Security Shield, tool mounts on bed rails, added tie down pad eye on bed rails.
That gap guard looks like a good idea. Which one did you get? I’m always getting stuff stuck between the tail gate and bed.

Possibly, the front drains are still there though. I actually haven't closed the tailgate yet, but I'd imagine it's not a perfect seal at the edges.

Had a power steering leak repaired :( It was a bad hose. I’ve been so busy lately I just took it to the dealer and let them do it. Four years and 60k this is the first repair I’ve had to make. Hoping it’s the only one for awhile, the truck is still new in my mind.

They tried to sell me the throttle body/fuel injector cleaning service due to mileage. I’ve always thought those things were kinda BS. A sales gimmick. What are your thoughts on it?

I would say throttle body and MAFS sensor could use a cleaning. Maybe maybe not but an Easy $15-20 for a diy and maybe 20ish minutes of your time.

Finally got time to install the ScanGaugeIII installed this afternoon. Install was super easy and now I can monitor pretty much anything.

Cost wasn’t bad considering it comes with everything including the nice RAM style ball mount.

Link below if anyone is interested.

Nice! I’ve got mine mounted in the same spot, but with an Offroam air vent mount instead of the suction mount

Picking up a "new to me" boat next week. Its 11hrs away and a bit on the heavy side... so I added Firestone airbags and a pair of LED rear work lights.
Also tossed a toolbox in the already too-short bed... but needed a secure place for roadtrip tools/supplies.
Should be a solid roadtrippin tow vehicle now.

    Cosmetic things today....

Kid and I removed the plastidip from our steering wheel trim pieces and painted them. Waiting for them to dry before reinstalling.

Before that, we installed LED interior lights on my wife's 2020 Rav4.

You’re gonna love that boat! I bought my Chappie deck boat new in 2004 and never looked back. Basic upkeep and maintenance and it has NEVER left me stranded in over 600 hrs. I just replaced and upgraded the carpet, installed a new very expensive stereo system and did some minor fiberglass repair, it still makes me smile when people ask me what year it is and they don’t believe me.

Storm knocked down a bit of fence today. So picked up some new fence material and will be rebuilding in the morning.

Yeah my 1st was a 1997 Chaparral 2330. Only got into boating last year but it was a great "starter boat" to learn on.
Sold it back in June during peak for way more than I paid for it.
It was an awesome boat but we needed something newer.
This 2007 Chaparral 256SSX is just a damn sexy boat. Cant wait to get it home.

Finally. Neighbor and I busted it out in about 4 hours. Had some hiccups. Next one would be 2 hours.

Driver and passenger side perfectly level both front and back. 1/4 inch rake. I have a CB +1 I will drop in later in the month.

New tires in a couple weeks.

Watch for those two screws on the oil cover, I changed mine over to stainless steel from the big box store. Salt in the winter will do some damage to it.

Is this the 4660 that you had? Any issues with it? According to Crutchfield, the only 3 Pioneers that are in-dash with Android Auto that have an HDMI input are the 4660, 5700, and 6600.
