Beautiful truck! For the 2022 model White is my favorite color. The wheels look fine, they’re gonna be super easy to clean. So happy for you!

I was like that when we bought our first pro. The dealership we use is about 45 minutes away and all the way home I’d randomly give the gas a little “goose” and then giggle when it roared. Enjoy it!

    Good for you, congrats!
I'm obviously too late now but I was just gonna suggest you have the dealer add a Toyota extended warranty to the deal and enjoy the hell out of your new truck.

    Congrats!
Which Family Toyota did you buy from?
@RobertD and I are pretty cozy with the GM in Burleson.

I know this was a false alarm, but FWIW I purchased a "New" vehicle with 2,800 miles on it a handful of years ago. It was a dealer demo, so never titled. I got the new car interest rate on my loan, and they gave me $1 for each mile on the odometer.

Yep we’re still in bizzaro world for the automotive market.

Too many dumb dumbs willing to pay too much money for cars and trucks just because the bank will give them a loan for 84 months.

They have to have the new shiny thing! Saving money and investing for the future is lame, that money gotta get spent on a new whip!

Yup $1 per mile is fair. If OP did have 8500 miles on it, paying full price would’ve been ludicrous. I just don’t understand dealers driving new cars and adding miles to them. My neighbor is the manager at our local Toyota dealership. He has his own cars but still drives a new Toyota off the lot everyday. I’ve already seen him in 4 different ‘22 Tundras. A bunch of 4R Pros, Camry TRDs, and Tacos. It’s just so stupid.

On a side note. I once bought a new car off the showroom floor. I didn’t notice til about a week later. But the new car smell was already gone. I guess a couple hundred people getting in and out of the car per week rubbed all of the magnificent smell away. Lesson learned, never doing that again.

In Texas there is a mileage limit for a "new" vehicle sale. Or there was at one time. It might just be an advertising thing. The only miles on mine were from the sales lady driving it to the bed liner place.

Mine had 4 miles! Ordered in March, picked up end of May. I told them to hide it when the truck dropped it off, don't let any of the other sales people call their customers to come see it, don't put any dealer stickers on it, don't put the front license plate on it, in fact, do not even look at it for too long!! Call me when it arrives and I will be there within an hour!

I was freaking thrilled when I got there. The plastic was still on everything. No one had driven it. 4 miles...

What’s not to understand? No other industry does this. You don’t see pizza makers eating a slice of pizza and selling them. Or makeup sales girls opening new packages to do their makeup every morning and then put them back on the shelves. Home Depot workers don’t borrow new lawnmowers to mow their lawns. And they might get away with adding some miles and selling at msrp these days, but they were doing this long before. They would have to heavily discount the car just to save a few miles on their personal cars. It’s just a stupid practice the managers have somehow convinced themselves and everyone else that it’s ok and it makes absolutely no sense.

Paper straws wrapped in plastic kind of dumb these days. We haven’t seen anything yet. These new vehicles will be parked all over once the demand falls and everyone is upside down and no one to buy them at 10% interest. Cash will be kind of you have it (maybe). Inflation is still at 8%_

Bought my 2010 limited that was a demo.I think it had 3800 miles on it.Back then I got a great discount and a extended warranty thrown in. The truck was loaded up with every available option at the time, and I believe I bought the truck for the same price as a stripped SR5. When I picked up my 2022 the salesman and I were talking how much we missed the haggling days LOL
