I am in the process of updating and repairing a 2000 Tundra Limited Access Cab with my son. The truck has about 108K miles, has had the frame, belts, shocks, brake lines and most major repairs completed. I would like to swap out the ratty oak colored steering wheel. It has cruise, but no audio. Are there any sources for reconditioned steering wheels? Are there any other Toyota models that will swap in? Any other years of Tundra? (up to 06????)

I have located a Chinese supplier but they list theirs as only fitting from 03 to 06.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-Tundra-wood-Tan-Leather-Steering-Wheel-03-04-05-06-/291480059460

Any help and info is appreciated.

yep bank account is running low from it..
Stay away from chinese suppliers period.

As far as I know I have a 03 the wheels where the same, but the clockspring might be different( connection wise). Since you have cruise control you might be pressed for 2000 to 2002 years.

Try places like LKQ something like that.

Not swapping the air bag or electronics, just the steering wheel itself. I will swap all the current parts into the new base.

Be careful. With the one listed you posted here is why. I will expand.

Remember the metal on the steering wheel is what holds the airbag in place in case of a accident. You dont want to find the hard way that the metal bends or snaps when it shouldnt during air bag deployment. Why I said steer clear of south asia parts.

There is a reason they are cheap.

You might check with the folks at Yota Yard in Denver. 303-292-5078. They specialize in used Toyota truck parts from 1974 and up. Condition varies of course. Tell them what you need. They just may have what your looking for or steer you in the right direction. Good folks. They have been there a long time and the owner, Nancy Wales, knows her stuff.

Glad to hear that. You still may want to check out yota yard for the heck of it: http://www.yotayard.com/home.htm
