Here’s a link for y’all I had a tough time finding these in our size for the new 2022. most wheels are not made with a 95.1 yet so you’ll need the centric hub ring. Just thought I’d leave a link for everybody

FYI our hub bore is now 95.1

I’m trying to find hub centric rings for my Rays gramlights. Unfortunately can’t find any. Not many places will have a 112mm to 95.1mm. Going to have to find a place that can custom machine or just run without hub centric rings.

Are they actually needed? Don't hear a lot of chatter here about them. shop that installed my KMC's said that the supplied rings didn't fit (I didn't even know there were rings in the box) and they suggested I get rings sooner rather than later.

Yes they are needed, and if they suggested you get them sooner rather than later shouldn't that have been a pretty clear indication of that? Definitely get some rings when you can.

seems like a good thing for someone to CAD up so they can be 3d printed. rings are cheap but most sources including the above link seem to be a month out

If someone has access to 3D printer capable of using materials that would be sustainable in the hub environment, I can put a part together in Solidworks and share the file with them. Just need their desired dimensions.

like can you actually drive without them and be okay, probably. But if there’s any play at all, you’ll tear your hubs and wheels up eventually. I’d get them, I have 106s on now with no hub rings, but I didn’t know about this until now. The shop didn’t say anything. So I assume they were snug? I don’t have any chatter etc. i get new wheels again this week, same thing 106 to 95.1. I’ll try to get some pictures this time.

I don't know what material would be best (ABS or PETG?) but could definitely print it out on my creality and test fit on my rig! I'm guessing these rings are just a straight transition from both top and bottom measurements ie 95.1mm straight to 106? I can take a look at the supplied KMC ones that didn't fit this weekend

Yeah they are required.. your wheel studs are not supposed to be taking the down pressure of vehicle and payload.. they are designed to hold your wheel secure to the hub while the centre bore is to take the tons of vertical pressure every time you hit a bump..

Get in an accident and they find out that’s why your wheel studs snapped… no insurance… same as most lift kits and leveling kits… “off road use only” or “not DOT Approved”.. most insurance won’t cover anything outside a “stock” vehicle, but most of the time the adjuster say nothing so they can still get paid..
