My platinum 4x4 mileage is all over the place on the highway. Should i bring to dealer? Or start lemon law claim?
    Driving 50-60mph get 23/24mpg
    Driving 80mph get 17/18mpg
Driving 85+mph can be as low as 12mpg

Maybe i have bad gas? Or bad tires?

Sounds like you’re consistently getting a certain mpg range depending on your driving habits to me.

Its a brick, your mpg will suck the faster you go or the longer you stay on the accelerator. 65-70mph is a sweet spot if you’re want decent speed & mpg.

If you can squeeze 23/24 out of your 4x4 platinum then you are doing far better than mine. I have never seen above 20 on mine no matter how I drive. I don’t think there is anything wrong with your truck.

I'd start with the local police. Tell them about the horrible MPG you get going over 80 MPH. They'll listen.

Hey Nitricacid, is this your first truck that you've ever owned? What are you comparing to to determine that you're getting inconsistent mileage?

In looking at the info you provided, it shows realistic MPG output that is expected out of these new 2022s. Also, keep in mind there is a break-in period if this is a brand new truck.

Oh absolutely, you gotta lemon law claim on your hands, contact a lemon law attorney and get the filing in with the Secretary of State.

I think you only have a small window to get that in, so you might wanna call today.

Make sure you send a certified letter to the dealership owner with your intention for file a lemon law claim based on your inconsistent MPG.

The EPA is another good resource and could really help keep your case moving along as well.

Weird, wind resistance goes up as velocity increases past a certain point, and fuel efficiency declines? Definitely a lemon

Its basic geometry. The faster your wheels spin, the smaller they get. More revolutions=worse gas milage...duh!!

Counterintuitively, if you come to a complete stop and idle you'll get 0 mpg. Clearly this isn't the design intent.

Sounds pretty normal. I have a 3rd generation Tundra with the 5.7 V-8. I get 18mpg at the 55-60 mph range, 17 at 75 mph, and 14 at 80 to 85, 12 mpg at 85 with a head wind. Speaking of headwinds, a strong headwind or tailwind can swing those numbers plus or minus 2 mpg. So drive on and enjoy that truck. Personally, the fun of rolling across the prairie at 85mph is worth the reductions in mpg to me. The Tundra has enough power to run 100 mph all day long... wonder what those mpg numbers would be like. Testing that would get you a cool police escort... at least until you ran over the stop-sticks.

seems pretty normal for a full size pickup to get crappy MPG's doing 85+ mph. And slightly less crappy going 80.
