Thinking bout upgrading out of my 2001 to a 2010….are there any specific issues I should keep an eye on while inspecting the 2010? Ironically enough they are the same color…light tan!

I bought my 2010 back in October of 2018 right at 109k miles. Other than normal wear and tear items, I've had 0 issues. Great truck and really good year from what I hear. As long as the vehicle has a good history, I don't think you'll regret it.

If you pull the trigger, post a pic or two of the 2001 and 2010. I'd love to see them.

Gotchya! I’m a bit up in the air bout it. My 2001 has 204k miles and runs good….trying to make it last longer. Then again…I have my sons 2000 Tundra w 218k miles on it and needs some work like a brake line, passenger window motor, etc …I could trade it in…give him my 2001….& I would be upgraded to the 2010. Oh the decisions!! Ugh

I bought my 2010 with 157k miles about a year ago and have put 10k miles on it since. Havent had a single hiccup. Did what was previously stated above about checking for leaks and changing all fluids. What I did notice was the transmission was a lot happier with the new fluid.

    Id say go for it!

In addition to the above, also check for the front diff growl and rear wheel bearings. Both had TSBs and I had to do both for my 2010.
