I saw this on Meta earlier. Guy paid $400 for this Pine Tree Tundra. It had small trees starting to grow in the bed.

    FB_IMG_1661856026089.jpg

Replaced the fuel, fuel pump, and throttle body(apparently why it was parked to begin with)

    Got it cleaned up.

    FB_IMG_1661856058995.jpg

Again, I will never understand why someone would just park a truck like this under trees. They could have just fixed the throttle body and sold it for thousands more.

Damn, that truck just for a rust free frame if it wasn't even running would be worth $1K minimum.

Last time I checked with the salvage yard in this area they were going for $950.

And I think he's in Alabama so the frame is probably in decent shape. People are dumb. The guy that bought it found a used throttle body for $80. I hope he checks the timing belt.

The engine has to go in funky. Usually I use chains. But right side goes first, then you need to tilt, then lift the left side. Chains won’t work. Load lever wont work.. ratchet straps it is

I now have a new name for my gut.

Back in 95, my buddy pulled a 74 SWB chevy out of a field and got it running. It was rough for only 20 years old. No carpet, no ac, now radio. Just a 350 with headers, turbo mufflers, and turndowns. But it's odd to think that that could be my truck. They're the same age as back then, yet worlds apart. Funny how time changes things.
