Nice work. I once had a toilet that could not be snaked. So I pulled it. After messing with it in the yard, I took a hammer to it. Massive rib bone. From a cow I believe.

I had a lot of “plunge” calls this week, 2-3 pump chump and they were good. 3 of them required a few more pumps, no pics of that needed.
But one call at a newer building kicked my ass with backed up “lavs” sinks, I made a mess but I cleared it.

Those are caharts, I was kinda disappointed in the color fade, but we dryer everything, the boots are “hawx” actually really comfy, with a air ride suspension……
And that beast was caught with a “general” self feed drill snake. Some guys have auto feeds or like lever controlled feed, im not sure which one I like better, but the lever controlled are way less strenuous to run but can cause trouble if you don’t know what your doing

It was. I Googled it and found out they are called a horse tail by plumbers. This one was about 4' long.

Yeah, I had to do guarantee work on a submarine. San pump didn't work. We found a combination wrench with a national stock number on it. Growth work, cha ching. Who flushes a wrench?

cleared the trap in the WC and was jammed up at the outlet into the flange. Wish it had been a horse tail, or even a cow rib. I spent 10 minutes with an auger snake before deciding to pull it - the snake wasn’t budging. It was a turd, but hard as a log of half-dried pottery clay all wedged up at the outlet - packed solid. I had to break it up with a fork to fish it out.

I considered, briefly, but it was bad enough having to use silverware to pull it out the bottom of the outlet without gagging…

Damn - someone’s dogs eat well.

More of a needing to share the pain post. It wont stop raining and the school can't figure out how to replace the roof on the largest building on campus. So the work orders come pouring in with ceiling leaks and we say "yep, it's raining, fix the roof."

I think that wall would need a good skim coat to remove any tape/seam marks. But then, yes, a logo in the same shade but two sheens different would be sweet.

Woke up to a flat on my truck, so that started my day off right. I have had two destroyed tires in the past few months. Road hazard warranty!!:D 600+ worth of tires for 108.00. think I’ll leave the spare on for a while. It’s brand new but 5.5 years old so I might as well use it up.

Ridgid impact zipped them off without a problem.

I decided to start working on making handrails again. These are pretty heavy. When I set them on the patio after powder coat it will be tractor time or at least two guys.

That reminds me of a fire that happened on the USS Enterprise. I distinctly remember this one because I was standing around on the smoking sponson with a buddy (he smoked - I did not) when the door opened and some dude ran out...and flung himself over the safety netting into the ocean.

Called the bridge to let them know they needed to call away man overboard. (I got a lot of "Are you SURE this is not a joke?" About the only time I was ever able to say something like "I was RIGHT F***ING THERE" to the OOW. lol)

Turns out the dude was in the middle of some investigation for whatever...and was getting what we called the 'Big Chicken Dinner' (bad conduct discharge). He'd just set the legal department office on fire prior to his flinging himself overboard; and of course the sprinklers lit off. All of the file cabinets in the legal department had severe water and fire damage - EXCEPT one.

Guess which file cabinet his case files were in. :D

They ended up 'upgrading' his discharge to a dishonorable discharge.
