What home improvement work did you do today?

I fell for that nonsense about 10 years ago. One room at about $40-50/gallon and bought 3 gallons. I was pissed. Behr paint can eat a lead painted d!ck

Can’t take credit for the labor. But this week we are shoring up the foundation to our house to stop its slippy slide down the hill. Hydraulic piers being installed in 9 places down to bedrock about 30-40 feet down. Then another three helical piers in the corners. FML. The price tag for this s**tshow is devastating.

 

Insurance doesn’t cover that? I’d let it slip and then they will cover a new house right???

 

nope. Not covered. Most Homeowners insurance explicitly excludes damage caused by movement of the earth.

 

Up at our CO property helping my neighbor finish putting up the fence between our lots. So far we drank a lot and planted some plants in his yard and haven't set any posts. Lol...

Great guy! 82 friggen years old, bad hip, and building his house pretty much himself. He's been at it for roughly 3 years now and ready to design and build our house for us.

I want to be like him!

 

No pics, but had to pull a toilet at 9:30pm last night that wouldn't flush. Thought the dog had dropped a ball in it...wish that was the case. I won't describe what WAS blocking it (completely natural, but oh, so unnatural), but had it all buttoned back up and done by 10:30.

 

If you go white you have the whole Canadian thing going on though...

 

Y'all need to cut back on eating all that healthy food. Think of your poor toilet!

 

Was whatever unholy stuck in the trap or in the closet flange? At work we’ve pulled energy cans, perfume bottles amongst other things that won’t clear the trap

 

This weekend I may have had the longest rat tail I’ve pulled out yet, but once you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all.
