Even at $2k (when it was first released) many say it’s not even worth that yet

It's robbery....For the life of me and for that much money, I still can't understand why it doesn't transfer with the owner. It would be a huge move if so and would encourage many more loyal customers (if you could purchase FSD and have it on future Tesla vehicles).

We have FSD & don't use it.

it's fun & wierd. but I'm not quite ready to turn my livelyhood over to a computer for the sake of a roadtrip.

we may use it when the road is clear & straight-ish.

This Out of Spec channel has some good EV vids. This one is about infrastructure. I wonder if simply putting a roof over the charging stations would prevent some failures. Being open to the elements 24/7/365 isn't good for electronics, also for the customer.

    Interesting

This sensor is an evolution of the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), attached to the rim, which it is intended to replace. On the Model S Plaid, it does not replace it yet. It transmits to the car, via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), the tire model, its temperature and its movements (accelerometer).

Denis Martin was not authorized to tell us what Tesla does with this information. But we can assume, to begin with, that the car can adapt to the tires fitted, for example to reserve accelerations and maximum speeds for certified tires. We can otherwise assume that the movement sensors make it possible to more finely measure the traction on each of the four wheels in order to more effectively adjust the distribution of the torque (torque vectoring), and therefore improve performance.

I'll repeat myself...Presently...Tesla is the only viable EV

All others are gimics...afterthoughts...they are just chasing political tides.

Make a better charging unit than the Tesla Supercharger and you MIGHT compete.

It's nice for new vehicles to come along...but they pale in comparison.

I really like that the turn signals use the cameras to sense the lane change and not steering wheel clicks

Took a trip from south houston to lake Conroe.
    154 miles round trip
    Used 193 miles of range

    I guess that’s the a/c and stereo

    I was cruising under 70

probably will cost me $8 in electricity

No Vin yet but I don't want to take delivery before Jan due to the potential EV credit. Sounds like IRS will determine what vehicles qualify some time in Dec.

Wonder how Texas’s grid will handle the potentially large influx of EVs when this bill passes… :pccoffee:

TX is Natural gas. We can spool up. wind & solar are COMPLETELY unreliable. nighttime?

we have a minimum of 4 lifetimes of natural gas on standby.

    EV's are a red herring.

not enough natural resources to create the batteries or motors.

This is purely political. I'll stop there.
