A vehicle makes for a sh@?# holster and the gun should be on your person.

That doesn't work everywhere. For example, in Wyoming we have constitutional carry so any resident can conceal carry without a permit, however this does not apply when you get in a vehicle. In a vehicle you must have it visible if you do not have a valid CC permit.

Don't be a gun guy that is a jerk to people who don't do what you think they should, so long as it's safe, let them be.

In pa it’s unfortunate that we have a a terrible gov who will never pass constitutional carry but as long as you have concealed carry permit it can be in your vehicle and person concealed if you carry open you don’t need any permit at all

You think drawing out of your waistband and around your seat belt and clothing is better than moving your hand 3" from the shifter? Sounds like a shit idea.

Well it’s made by a family owned smaller business from what I no here in the USA and the name is highway holster it all seems like a high impact plastic every thing fits together as it should, not much to the install especially for the tundra it’s almost like it’s made for it and when you move your seat the holster goes with you because it’s attached to the seatbelt and best of all no drilling and nothing is permanent and as far as the holster you choose to use with it it works good with the spring type I use all vedder holsters
For all my guns and the one you see in the pic is my iwb for my Glock 42

Come prepared - multiple options. Nothing like having a spare readily available or for you or your wife to grab if she's waiting in the truck while you're in the walmart. :D

Welcome OP, Poconos born, SC transplant here. Great looking holster. To your point, just be aware of traveling in states that don’t recognize the PA CCP (I have an SC, Utah, and PA CCP, so I’m good in most states), and ones that don’t allow visible firearms in vehicles. My only issue where you mounted it is for people like me with fat legs, I’d probably constantly be banging my knee against it! But alas, you probably are one of them skinny folk:rofl:.

This appears to be a convenient option to move your sidearm from your personal carry into/out of the truck.

I carry 100%..local demographics make it mandatory.

    1. It is unnecessary handling to transfer the gun from holster to holster and it introduces a failure point. ND's usually don't happen if it is left along in the holster on your body. When I stop somewhere I dont have to transfer it to my body holster and I don't risk some idiot calling to say they saw a man put a gun into his waist and walk into the store.

    2. Theft - it only takes one time to forget it or think that "I will be right back".

    3. You don't have it when you need it. It is too easy to get out of the vehicle intentionally or unintentionally and not take it with you. "Oh I am just pumping gas or grabbing a coffee"

4.Traffic accident. It doesn't take much force for things to go flying and sometimes outside of the vehicle. If it is a road rage accident you are suddenly scrambling to find your gun while dazed and confused.

    5. Law enforcement interactions. Having a gun visible could complicate an interaction. I practice "don't ask, don't tell" unless it is a required to notify state. Also the presence of a firearm in the vehicle gives LE a de-facto right to search the vehicle for their safety in some states. Some cops are cool about people carrying and some aren't.

    6. Seated and belted doesn't prohibit draw with a good holster and practice and training.

    7. Situational awareness. If you are paying attention to your surroundings then you shouldn't need to save a few miliseconds drawing from the console.

If it works for you great. I prefer to keep mine more concealed in my vehicle. If I did something like that I think I would go with plain black so it did not stick out. I usually either wear a "fanny pack" or I tuck my shirt behind the holster when I hook my seatbelt.

That's good to know for the future, fellow biggun . Presently, I use a magnet in the center console. Not as quick of a draw, but good enough to me for now...

Just remember that you must follow the laws of the state that you are in. Some states you must notify the officer if you are pulled over. Some states the no gun signs on businesses do carry the force of law, and some states open carry is lawful.

My only input is that if circumstances dictate that you must deploy said weapon, you're probably not staying in your vehicle. Make sure that after exiting your vehicle in a hurry (in the middle of a critical incident) that you have a way to properly secure it on your person once the threat has been eliminated.

What you don't want to have happen is to have to send rounds at the threat, exit the vehicle w/pistol in hand, have an officer nearby or close while someone is calling in that a shooting just occurred and as police arrive you're standing there w/pistol in hand.

Thinking that you'll be able to take a moment or two to re-enter the vehicle and secure it are probably not going to happen in a municipal/metropolitan environment.
