what is a TOYOTA Tundra "70 Series?"

What does the 70 series mean? vin# 5TFNA5AB4NX016023

 

The only 70 series I've heard of is the Land Cruiser. Wikipedia refers to the 22 as a "XK70" and the 22 Sequoia is a "XK80". Not sure if that's what you are talking about.

 

I am buying a 2022 Tundra and the Vin they gave me says it's a 2022 Tundra 70 series: vin# 5TFNA5AB4NX016023

 

It's just a reference to the generation number (XK70) Toyota uses. The Gen 2 and 2.5 were XK50 and the Sequoia was XK60.

Great thanks for the insight and thank you for the military thanks. I’ve had other dealers I’ve sent the spec sheet I received tell me it looks suspect and try to put doubt in my mind about what I’m buying. This is my first tundra and it’s a crazy market out there so it’s difficult to know if I’m getting what I’m paying for or I’m not paying way to much.

 

Here is the full list. But yes its really Toyotas "code" for each model at the factory.
