@KroppDuster ADD is making the bumper I posted lol. They didn’t mention anything about a tube style bumper. Would be pretty rad if they did.

bwahahaha! My bad! I don't know why I glossed right over the vendor you mentioned in your post.

My local shop here in Southern NV has a relationship with ADD in AZ. They were the ones that told me about ADD eventually rolling out the tube style bumper from the Taco. ADD's tube bumpers are all over the place here for desert racing.

Haha all good man! Yeah they make some cool stuff. When I reached out to them they only mentioned one similar to that rendering. If they have a tube one in the works that would be awesome!

Side note: Have you checked out Lil B's Fabrication bumper? Montera has the prototype on his truck. It looks like a hybrid bumper with tube "wings." It's pretty cool.

Clean! What was needed for relocating the radar for cruise control? Curious if it still works like stock angled down like that

It comes with with a bracket that mounts it at the same angle as stock inside the bumper- that plastic cover is just there for protection

CBI full bumper shipped today. ETA is Monday. Pretty stocked that it's on the way, but that timing isn't great for install. Gonna have to wait a few weekends to install it so I can have a Saturday & Sunday free to tackle the job.

Ordered on 6/15. Delivery estimate is 8/29.

Yeah. I'm fully prepared for it to be 2 weekends worth of work for me. Work will also come to a halt for at least 4 hours each Saturday so I can catch my alma mater crush the pigskin. haha

When it comes to DIY stuff...my install speed really took a hit when I reached my 40's. lol.

I've got a bunch of projects stacked up waiting on the bumper:
    • 30" light bar (Amber) - wired to my Six Shooter
    • 2 x 4-LED Pods (Amber) - wired to my Six Shooter
    • 2 x 2-LED Pods (Amber) - wired to my Six Shooter
    • Winch install & wiring
    • Mustache swap out
    • Still undecided, but I might also do the Heritage grill at the same time. If I don't do this, I've got an extra Toyota emblem I'm going to swap to black and keep my TRD OR grill.
That's all in addition to the actual bumper install itself, which I'm guess is a good 8-10 hours of labor by itself.

I figured it would be all day Sat & Sun and probably wrap it all up the following Saturday.

I had my switch pros pre installed and all my wiring for lights pre ran. I started at about 10am on a Friday, removed front end and bumper pieces and made my cuts by 1. Swapped in the pro grill, put the front end back on and had a hard stop at 4:30/5. Around 7/8 some neighbors came over to help put the bumper on- that took another hour or 2 and then did more wiring. So day 1 was 8hrs. Day 2 was 4 hours or so of winch wiring, cutting the brace in the bumper since I didn't reclock my winch (works perfectly, but was tedious with the wrong tools), so all in all 12hours. With my truck being a hybrid wiring was much, much more of a chore- everything to the backseat of the truck.

Took me about 12 hours for my C4 bumper install as well. Mine didn’t come with brackets for the light bar or the spacer for the relocation of the front air dam motor, so it took some time to make some custom stuff out of aluminum as a replacement. Also ran into some issues with the spacing of the TRD Pro grille light bar, grill shutters, and air dam motor that I had to work around. Think it came out well though.

Sounds about right. Most of my wiring is already pre ran for my Six Shooter, but I'm going to custom wire some harnesses. It'll let me keep everything clean and run multiple pods on a single switch. I could make it much easier on myself, but I've become a perfectionist with wiring. I used to not give a rat's a$$ what the under hood wiring looked like, but I've gotten more particular as I've aged. lol.

I can imagine the hybrid was a PITA for wiring since your batt is inside under the rear seat. Did you run your wiring through the firewall and then through the cabin to the battery or did you come up from underneath the cab?

Yes. The Badlands Apex 12K. Same footprint to the Warn Evo 12k and I've talked to some folks that have installed theirs to follow their layouts.

Used the grommets under the passenger seat and drivers seat then tucked them under the door kick panels and under the carpet into the battery bay.

It's here boys & girls. Full CBI bumper arrived yesterday. The easy part is done.

Now comes the slightly harder task of finding a full weekend where I'm not doing anything so I can tackle the install.

Anyone think $390 is high for blasting then zinc primer and matte black powder coating this bumper?

I like the CBI Covert for its stock look. After coming in contact with FOD on the way to work yesterday, it wouldn't hurt to get a full bumper guard.

This is it. Compared to most other companies, it seems to require "less" trimming, the radar doesn't relocate, and it keeps the OEM foglights
