Def not using the magic sealer.

Dealer has started being more supportive later in the day yesterday, wants to find the problem. I'm happy with the direction, just need to find a way to confirm the leak.

Me using the word "blown" may not be appropriate. "Leaking" may be more appropriate. It isn't spewing fog all day everyday, but is pretty consistent. Out of 4 times I drove it last weekend, I saw fog 2 times. Coolant is over an inch low after 2k miles. Not a "blown" level maybe, but isn't right.

just because smoke isn't coming out all the time doesn't mean it isn't blown, one eco boost f150 came into the shop, only blew smoke on startups, but gradually got worse and pretty much did it all the time, tried sealer, didn't work, just made it worse

since it was the eco boost we were already pretty sure the motor was blown since they do it at 100k... and sure enough it was, internal head gasket leaking, turbo shot, common things for a ford but not a toyota :burnrubber:

and unfortunately I'm not seeing any TSBs related to head gaskets or coolant leaks with the '17 tundra

I'm hearing it is a non-existent problem, so a legit point to be extra confused about.

Never got hot, I don't do too much to crazy. Occasional boat towing or hauling something, well within normal use expectations.

Any update on this thread? I have a 2017 5.7L Flex Fuel Tundra with 58K and noticed a white cloud of smoke after startup one morning. Later that day, I checked the engine bay and noticed that the coolant level in the reservoir tank was about empty. It had been about 5K since I had last checked the fluid levels so it has happened within 6mo/5K. Took it to the dealer last week and they told me that they could not find any reason for the coolant leak and could not reproduce the white cloud of smoke after keeping it overnight. I am concerned that it could be a small leak in the head gasket and I want to get it fixed before the warranty is out.

I have not observed the issue reoccurring over the past week and I am monitoring the coolant level.

Any update on your situation as it may be helpful to me.
