I have a chance to buy 4 new Goodyear Trailrunner AT’s for $500. I am hesitant because they are only standard load.
    Thoughts?

I run SL. I'm no rock crawler...

Do you need something with a higher rating?

If you aren't towing or hauling a lot of heavy stuff I think they would be ok. I thnk the 116 load index works out to 2756 for two tires which is probably more than the trucks weight rating. I would be more concerned with the date code on the tires and how old they are or if they have been sitting around for a while. That is usually where a good deal usually isn't so good.

Not necessarily. I don’t off-road either, but I do pull a trailer occasionally (maybe once a month) which weighs less than 3000lbs. I pulled it 400+ miles with the original SL tires with no issues so I guess the SL may suffice.
Thoughts on that specific tire for the price?

Like I said, check the date of mfg. code ans they could be a year old already.

Looking online that tire typically sells on a few different sites between $215 to $230 each from what I can see. Agree with IowaGuy though, check the date on them

You dont want to buy a tire thats been sitting for a year or so. Id try to stick to 6 months or less if possible

That opens up more questions then. I recently bought pro wheels and tires and suspension off a 2019 pro. I’ll need to confirm the date code I guess, but now I’m wondering if I should use these tires or swap my current tires from my 21 over.

Tires usually have a life span of around 6 years. Buying a set of take offs from somebody is a little different because youre not paying a new tire price. When I buy something new I want it to be new.
