Yep. Hybrid only was a gripe of mine from the start. Why? Makes no sense. Cuts cargo volume and who really needs 437HP/583tq in an SUV? Jumbo SUV's are meant for cargo volume. I can see how Yota brass wanted to replace the Land Cruiser with the new Sequoia. We'll see how it sells.

I've been stuck in the middle of nowhere in the middle of winter *twice* with previous trucks, both Ford trucks. My Ram transmission crapped the bed and left me unable to drive any faster than 2nd gear.

I don't know that anything that has been said about Toyota is untrue regarding their *need* to innovate, update, etc....but when you've been stuck in the middle of nowhere in the middle of winter almost literally praying someone comes along...yes, reliability is a *BIG* freaking deal. I'll sacrifice features, innovation, a few MPGs, etc. for reliability all day long.

The Starbucks of workout studios :)

For $200 per month you and a cohort group can be choreographed through your hour long circle training session in your lululemon outfit sipping overpriced water/juices/smoothies.

Hey…I live in the Seattle area and they are all around (and the parking lot is a car show of latest high price exotics and top end crossovers)

Now to each his own mind you…not knocking on how another man/woman spends their dollars…just not my place at those prices.

I do enjoy Starbucks myself but had to cut back when my Mocha’s started costing $6+

…these days I’m usually found in the Micky Ds drive thru for their $1 coffee…much more palatable.

Exactly. Apparently listing all the things you don’t like about your truck but are willing to live with to have the most dependable rig makes you a fan boy. :monocle:

Morning coffee ramble - I make it myself Costco Columbian beans.

So I understand the feeling you get when your new vehicle is under warranty. You're covered right.
But what happens when a part that fails, is not in stock, its not even listed, and the dealer can't even give you a price for the part yet.
Is that something that a good Auto company does when they produce and introduce a new truck ?

There is a thread here about a dude getting concerned about the number of times his Toyota hybrid Tundra shuts off and on.
I got curious due to my wifes recent experience with her Outback battery.
I called and asked the parts guy how much the Starter and Battery are for the 2022 Tundra. Its been out almost a year now.
2023 orders to start soon if not already.

He told me he has NO listing for either and can't even give me prices. Took my number and said he would call me when he does.

Is this the way a First Rate Automobile company runs. Don't dare give me the Pandemic story supply chain bull shit.

I brew my own. Been using the same Aeropress for years.

I like BRCC’s YouTube videos, but I thought their coffee was kinda gross. :anonymous: Reminds me of charbucks. Tastes like it has been on fire, haha.

Right now I’m into Counter Culture (Durham, NC), Good Citizen (Nashville), and Oddly Correct (Kansas City).

The pro I’m keeping, the lightning I’ll keep to compare. And then whichever I decide will get dumped when the raptor is done sometime next year

Pro is built and should be purchasing, lightning is purchased and just waiting.

f150 schedule opens up late next month and prob won’t be built until next spring

I do. Did cold brew for years and now I have a cheap espresso machine from Amazon that actually does a really good job. Nearest coffee shop is 30 min away and my wife and I both work from home so we kinda have to make our own

I do. Starts at 5:15. I have never been to Starbucks and don't recall ever paying for a cup of coffee other then buying a can at the grocery store. When I was working we had free coffee in the break room.

Cool - you sound like someone that likes trucks and is taking advantage of market conditions and making money.
10 years ago I fired the financial advisor and have since been taking advantage of market conditions in the stock market. No one can time the market. At some point this will turn.

So heading to the cabin, just a parade of vehicles going the other way. Among them.
Two 2022 Tundras ! Their shape makes them look small and low when I passed them going the other way.
Countless F150's , the ones with the upside down L headlights (like a forward and backward - 7) look funny to me.
At least 8 Gen 2 Tundras.
    A bunch of Tacomas.

Technically the Man Upstairs 'makes' the coffee in the form of beans on the plant, nyuk nyuk. ;)

Seriously though, yes, we grind our beans and make coffee every morning. I can't just have any coffee...I've got a hiatal hernia and acid sends my GERD into overdrive, so I'm sort of a coffee snob out of necessity. I'll admit I will *occasionally* buy coffee out, but ONLY if I either

    a) trust the source implicitly, or
    b) am bonking hardcore and *need* the caffeine.

Current 'favorite' is a blend called "Little Buddy" from Olympia Coffee Co. in Seattle.
