Who's got dogs? Post your pup!

Well, the kid wasn't using it and his short legs make him not much of a hiker.

 

Is the pinch collar pretty much all that keeps him under control?

 

He looks like a goober that would do that! Got some hips too!

 

As Stella gets older, and it becomes a little more noticeable at times, I have been making sure to try and prioritize her. Not spoil her, but make sure that I'm giving her lots of love and letting her enjoy as much of life as possible. I try really hard to not rush her when on the leash, for example. She wants to sniff this tree, or that bush, or whatever for 5 minutes? The absolute least I can do is be patient and loving with her.

Just stumbled across this, and it's so true. I've met people who had a dog once, but after losing them they declare they won't ever have another. I can't do that. There's a place in my heart that only a dog can fill, and there have been times when the only thing that has gotten me out of bed in the morning and kept me from driving off a bridge is my dog. As terrible as the loss is, a dog is worth it.

She’s a little older now. But it was really fun to watch my big girl try to gnaw on this huge bone. She’s about 90 pounds. Shakes our house when she barks and is just the nicest dog. Her name is Niki.

 

Well, we picked up the puppy a day early. I guess I wasn't really paying attention when my wife showed me the picture of the one she wanted that I posted earlier because I posted the wrong one.
Here he is...we ended up naming him Bo. Bo is 9 weeks old. Bentley is our 2 1/2 year old. Both are miniature Australian Shepherds. Hoping they'll be best friends.

 

Hmm, I must be therapy dog to my dog because he needs me to be around while he's eating or when we go somewhere..

 

I can't remember the last time the truck left the driveway without them.

Gang, the dog looked like this similarly.

I was leaving my special play place today and there was a dog sitting on grass by the road. There is no way a stray dog would just be sitting by the road like that with no houses nearby. Also, the dog was beautiful, didnt look like a stray dog. A homeowner must have abandoned that dog and left and that dog was waiting for the owner to return. It was a heartbreaking scene.

I almost cried going home. No dog owner should ever abandon their dog.

 

Great looking dog! Is he a Mastiff? My wife and I have taken a shine to Boerboel's but I haven't found a breeder... yet..
