I have received two recall notices, one for the Panoramic View Monitor System and the other for the Rear Axle Shafts.

About how long does it take the service department to get those done? Is that something you can typically wait for?

    Thanks

No idea how long they actually take to get done, but my dealer wanted 3-4 hrs to do the 3 recalls I had. The two you listed and the ECU or whatever it was for stalling issues.

Service locations or dealer can vary.

I feel if you tell them you are waiting for it they will get to it sooner rather than saying you will leave it. They usually ask you if you are going to leave it or wait.

I never wait, My service area is a few miles from my house, so I always drop it off and run home. I've taken my Tacoma in for an inspection and third brake light recall, took it in a 9am and it didn't get finished till 4:30pm, I'm not waiting there for that.

My dealer said it was about an 1 - 1.5 hours of labor once the truck gets pulled into the service area.

The rear axle is just an inspection. If they find the bolts need to be tightened, then they just torque to the new specs. Pretty straight forward in most cases. The ECU re-flash takes the most amount of time.

I dropped my truck off on the way to work and left it there. I got the phone call it was ready before lunch.

Both recalls (ECU flash and rear bolts) took my dealer 2 hours....in and out.

is the ECU flash fixing anything or is it BS?

It's fixing the random stall at slow speeds after braking issue.

The dealer here in the PNW wanted an entire day for the rear camera recall.

Did my truck while it was in for oil change, dropped off 11am completed 1:05 pm. I guess it’s mostly waiting on the uploads but 2 hours in and out was not a big deal to me.
