I just had my truck wet sanded, polished and waxed at a local body shop and I'm finding several spots like these pictured. I'm sure they'd take care of this but I wondered if it's something I can fix myself with y'alls suggestions....

Yikes! No, take it back and have them fix it. If you attempt to fix it and mess it up more, you know they won't take responsibility for it. Then you're screwed.

Just curious, why wet sanding on a 2016? Hopefully they can correct those paint issues. I would suggest diy da polisher to anyone wanting to remove light scratches and swirl marks.

I had lines from bushwacker flares after removal and Toyota's orange peel drives me nuts.... I can let it slide on some colors or on someone elses ride. But on my own black truck, I just couldn't get past it lol

Are you talking about the orange peel near the bottom of the doors and side body panels or orange peel in general?

Oh no not the rocker panel stuff.....just the normal panels orange peel. Toyota has always seemed the worst as far back as I can remember. Maybe it's hit and miss, I dunno

I think its hit & miss, all of mine have been pretty decent other than the rocker panel orange peel which I couldn't stand at first lol.

Possible I guess, but I gotta be honest....the lighting where the guy was doing the final wipe down was terrible. I walked circles around the truck while shooting the shit with him and never saw any of it. He straight up told me if I see anything after I get it in different lights just let him know. I just thought maybe I could handle it myself

Its wet sand marks from where the block hit the high spots on the paint. The haze is from the polisher... I say take it back, make them make it right. I would never give a car back to a customer looking that way.

Looking good. Maybe put some 303 on there every week or 2 to block the UV light? Maybe there's a better UV protectant, maybe even some 3M film cut to fit? @SouthBoundSteve ?
