You may be right, that it's not a 70k baseline truck, but regardless, I've had cheaper cars, Ford Fiesta for instance (fraction of the price of a Tundra), and the fit and finish and QC was there, no issues with it.

In the end, it'll be my battle with the dealer or Toyota Canada. If I'm not happy with the outcome I'll just flip it for more than what I paid for, but ultimately I do want to like the truck and keep it.

I think the days of flipping for more than you paid are gone or nearly gone. used prices and trade in values have been and continue to fall

eitherway, I sure hope they fix it and I tend to agree more with you paid 70K so WTF, I dont care if the features are on a 40K , you didnt pay 40K. thats just my .02 though

If you pay $70K for the truck it's a $70K truck. No mental gymnastics needed to try and lower expectations. If you buy a Maybach S580 for $250K you expect that quality of fit and finish to exceed the $170K Mercedes S580, even though it's all just "options".

Its a lot of small things that are uncorrectable which means you'll likely never be totally happy with it. The bigger question, is there an automaker that rolls out a flawless vehicle anymore? I have a friend that just got out of a 15,000 mile old loaded Dodge Ram over a bunch of stupid problems.
Unfortunate that vehicles are as pricey as they are and lack QA/QC

Agreed, so if I want to unload it/flip it, I need to do it soon! But in Canada :canada: , I think the used market and trade-in values are still somewhat high, which may work out to my advantage.

I just reached out to Toyota Canada, to start the process/case, more to follow. In the meantime truck is at the dealer waiting for a new front diff, another 1-1.5 weeks, so in total i will have owned the truck 6 weeks, and 3 of those 6 weeks at the dealer :(

Some things I understand will be hard to fix (paint issue) but the vinyl, screen, rattles, etc. should be easy stuff to fix and should be done!

Again, time will tell where this all goes with the dealer and Toyota Canada
