Had a negative experience at 4WP Cherry Hill, NJ store.
    Here is the story.

    In short:
Gave all the specifics made an appointment. Drove there and then they first didn’t remember what I was in for then, confirmed after reading appointment notes in the system and then refused to do the service unless I spend more money for a BMC.

    Problems:
    1. Customer service is no existence, one of the sales person Ted doesn’t know how to deal and talk with customer. Kept educating me with his over 30 years of experience and wouldn’t allow me to finish what I had to say. Later on proven to missed the details of my scheduled service notes. Also claimed “alignment has nothing to do with tires rubbing or not”. Which is false.

    2. Customer communication is also non existence, after they finally figured out what I was in for, they told me if the tires rub they can’t let it leave the shop unless I have them do a BMC. Ok, I understand that, but, BUT the problem is, why did the sales person promised me everything on the phone and left out these important details to get me into the shop and then have the manager Adam telling me these are the corporate policies? If I’d known, I’d gone somewhere else. Wasted my vacation and almost 3 hours commute time round trip.

    3. No Complaint policy? After I was refused service, I asked the manager Adam what’s your stores complaint policy, he told me just leave a negative google review. And I asked them what about the corporates complaint handling process? He said there is none. Debatable, so I asked another person again and was told to find out a number on 4wp’s website. Which doesn’t lead me to anything but voicemails. The fact that the employees/managers don’t know or not willing to tell customer their complaint procedure, is very alarming because how can an organization improve if they don’t deal with customer complaints/feedbacks efficiently?

    4. About 20min after I left the store, 4wp’s regional manager called me and asked for the details of this unpleasant trip, he said the store called him about this just now and he wants to make things right or at least investigate on the causes. So… the shop does know their complaint handling process, which proved that the manager didn’t want to tell me about it earlier. Had a pleasant experience with Ryan who took the notes in a very professional manner, Provided all the details of the encounter with their cherry hill shop and he admitted there is definitely a communication issue that needs to be addressed.

In conclusion, I’d say if you are looking for a shop that values you as a customer, this is not the one for you. They way they treated their customers today definitely won’t have me back ever. In a way, I am very glad that they didn’t touch my truck.

No problem, I have heard good things about OK4WD but never personally been there, may give them a try down the road.

Funny, my first experience with 4WP when I had my Frontier a while back (6 years ago?) was very good, but two further visits were very similar to yours. There were a lot of 'corporate rules' that appeared out of nowhere and clear communication was absent. I felt they didn't value my time or the significant amount of $ I was going to spend there. For better or worse, I didn't try to complain; just took my business elsewhere.

You have icons and running 315/70r17s right? And they insisted on a BMC? You ought to show those idiots this video:

There are two motives/reasons for my complaint,

    1. Potential customers awareness
    2. For 4WP to learn from their mistake and hopefully make good decisions to improve themselves

Right, I almost did, instead, I showed him all my previous offroad footages with 315/70r17 and they weren't going to take advice or listen to customer.

I think it also has to do with the quality of employees/management per store location. Like an retail type store there's a few that want to do good and some that don't see things as it being their problem nor care to fix it. With that said, I've heard the 4WP place in Denver isn't very good lol so maybe they're all bad
In other news.. AC compressor randomly stopped engaging on my way home from work in the Tundy.. after some investigating and testing fuses, the relay, and the relay plug itself getting power I noticed the line that runs over top of the upper control arm and into the firewall was actually rubbing on the UCA and cracked, leaking all over the frame. I'm assuming it would of had to of been bent but when the I bought the truck there was no known accidents and the owners also said the same though it seems there must of been a slow front end collision or fender bender to do that. One of the tabs on the grille was also broken on the same side.

I'm quite certain this is the part which I can swap out on my own fortunately but I'll need a shop to vacuum/recharge the lines. 25 bucks on ebay vs $250 and up to $800 in labor from the stealership oof

Reminds me of the time that I had a front end vibration. It shook the steering wheel at any speed over 50. I went to Tire Kingdom and went on a road test with one of the shop guys. He said he couldn't feel it. I did the same thing with the manager. He said he couldn't feel it either. I even took video of the steering wheel shaking. He said "what do you want me to do about it" and started getting irritated. I told him he was an idiot and so were the people working for him and I would never refer anyone to them. I filed a complaint with corporate. 2 weeks later they had a new manager. TK is also full of crappy business practices. My neighbor called and got a price for a specific tire for one of his fleet vehicles. That afternoon he called again and talked to the same guy, and the price was $60 higher. The reason he called again is because one of his employees heard that stuff like that was happening. This was well before covid existed which makes it even worse.

Do people actually have good experiences at 4WP? I’ve always considered it the Jiffy Lube or Walmart service center of off road shops. Avoid at all costs.

Did the Amazon door, dash and center console trim pieces…everyone was doing black, so since I got a little red theme going, I tried the red….door handles just came in tonight from AJT and did those in black. Trim pieces are a solid 8 out of 10 on fitment, but not perfect. Just didn’t see myself tearing entire dash and door panels to paint.

Looks really nice. Did you black out the gap between the dash cover and glove box. The dash trim on my dash is grey. I’ve been looking at getting some of those covers for my dash and doors but was wondering what to do about the area that isn’t covered by glove box.
