    Question around alignment..

    I am moving from 35x12.5x17 to 285x75x18...

How imperative is it that I get a new alignment with this change?

Assuming I do need one done, how long can I go driving until its done?

If you aren't messing with the suspension, you shouldnt need an alignment. Changing the wheel/tire setup does not affect alignment geometry.

The question is, how are your current tires wearing? It is always best practice to have an alignment when replacing tires. If your old tires are worn unevenly or were realigned with uneven wear, the new ones will suffer.

Old tires wore perfectly fine and I rotated every 5k. May go without an alignment to start but if I notice uneven wear I’ll go get one

Reputable shop should be able to do a quick alignment check at little to no cost.

Putting the measuring device on vehicle and telling you IF there is a need to do an alignment takes what - 3 minutes.

As mentioned - if your not changing anything - no need to “re align” - it’s just verifying if there is already an issue your not seeing yet - which it doesn’t appear to be the case.

good to know and appreciate the feedback. I really only have one shop in the area that I trust and they are about 45 minutes away.. I’ll probably just swing by next time I’m in the area
